It feels like you have travelled back in time, the moment you step in here.
Ancient structures ,rich cultural heritage and nature's beauty, all at one place. To me it appeared like a perfect shooting location,if they make a movie on Shiva trilogy.
That's Orchaa a small sleepy village situated on the bank of river Betwa.
Orchha offers an all together different feel from other destinations. There is an unusual combination of temple ,fort and tombs scattered all over this place, which gives it a very distinct appearance. And river Betwa adds to the beauty of this place.
Major attractions here are Chaturbhuj Temple and Orchha Fort.Apart from this there are numerous Cenotaph or Chattris that dots the vicinity of the fort and river.
The light n sound show is something to watch. It may not be the best one,but sitting inside the fort complex ,listening to the history of this place, under the star studded sky makes it worth a watch.A walk through the ruins and the river is certainly a rewarding experience.(can be spooky too in the night). The magnificence of this place will leave you spell bound.
