It was starting of March in 2019, my MBA was about to be completed, I and all of my friends in the group were happily placed, we were happily chilling in Lucknow on the day and having a good time then suddenly it occurred in the discussion that since these are the last few days of college we should plan a trip together somewhere so then everyone agreed that we should plan a trip together now the question most difficult question where to plan the trip as college was closed on Sunday and the plan was made on Saturday, so we had to return back till Monday morning, so the question of where to go became more difficult and after a discussion of more than 3 hours it was decided that we should plan the trip to dudhwa national Park which is some 230 km from lucknow.
I and a friend of mine had our cars ready at around 9.30 in the evening and a group of 8 friend started the trip with me driving throughout the trip as only two of us knew to drive, both of us driving each of the car, the journey began with first clearing the city traffic and then smoothing through the highways, highways at night with some good music and friends trust me was one of the best experience ever.
At around 1.30 a.m we stopped at a dhaba and had some food. The dhaba wala had also set up a bonfire so we sat there for a while and then again continued to drive, suddenly at around 4 a.m. we realised that we are about to enter the forest of dudhwa, the entery at dudhwa opens at around 6 a.m. it was decided we go till the gate and then enter when the gates open, we drove steadily through the forest, not a singe soul in sight. Driving around 8 km through the forest we reached the gates of dudhwa national park and sighted 2 trucks there that calmed our hearts.
After reaching we had a chat with the officer at the gate, he told us that we can plan to stay but there are no forest safaris for 10 days as there was some internal work going on we were disheartened, then a truck driver called and said that the Nepal border was around 30 km from here the gates for the border open at 6.00 a.m around 4.30 in the morning we decided we should go to Nepal as safaris are not there.
We reached the border at around 5.30 and had some tea till the gates open, the officers arrived we had our paperwork done and off we go into the hills of Nepal.
Nepal is a beautiful country with good people, hills and greenery all around, what caught us by suprise was that any store you enter in nepal, you have the privilege to have alcohol of all kinds, even general stores were having liquor in Nepal. At around 11 a.m. we were on govardhan parvat and there we stopped for breakfast, at that point of time we were crying for sleep and totally exhausted but no one looked like so, everyone wanted to carry on but we had to return as well as we had to attend college and no one else knows to drive so we decided that it would be best if we return now.
Returning was very tiring for me personally as everyone was sleeping and I had to keep my eyes on the road, I felt like I should stop and have some rest but Lucknow was a long way so after continuous driving of 8 hours without sleep we reached Lucknow.
Next day every one in the college was like how did you managed the trip to nepal in one day and attend college as well and I was like the balance should be maintained.
