The capital city of Uttar Pradesh is full of historical delights. One can take the weekend and wander around these monuments preserved over time. Apart from the famous Bara Imambara - Chhota Imambara - Rumi Darwaza complex there are ancient ruins or architecture from British era.
The British Residency
This vastly spread area has many ruins of British residences. These were the residences of citizens prior the revolt of 1857. Currently the brick structures surrounded by lush green trees and lawns make for a perfect gateway in the city. The place is suitable for photoshoots, sun basking in winter, picnics with friends or family. There is also a museum, but it mostly remains closed.
All Saints Garrison Church
This church is located at the less crowded cantonment area of the city. Though not a common tourist place, you should visit this if you are up for the vintage secluded vibes. You may also wait here till evening to get some spooky old church shots after sunset.
