This Picture was clicked at “Bara Imambara”. It was built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Lucknow, in 1784.
A huge Labyrinth and an engineering marvel. Even the whispers echo and travel through walls, the walls which are not made of wood or metal, but only small bricks and lime plaster. If you get lost in it, you will probably roam around for hours or maybe days. The ones who know it and understand it can get out in less than a minute, maybe this is why it is recommend that you should always visit this place with a Guide….
It was around 4.30 pm when I went to this place with some friends. Tired, sleepy I was. After attending a cherishable wedding what else could you feel, emotional, maybe…
The picture was taken at the terrace of the “Bara Imambara”. Friends were cheering and I was busy clicking pictures somewhere near. The place was beautiful, probably my thought process added more to it. Only, if could not imagine the life of the Nawab who built the place, I couldn’t have enjoyed it. The more my thoughts raced, the more interesting the place got.
But time again played its role here and we had to rush out of the place, stepping down the steps we moved out….
