“Best moments happen when they are unplanned”. It was on my 21st birthday and that day will remain as one of the best days of my life. There were a couple of surprises on my birthday soon after 12 AM. We were partying at night and suddenly some feeling is making my day incomplete. I asked my friends if we can go for a night ride? They agreed to it and we were thinking about the destination as its only been 10 days that we came to Pune. All this was happening somewhere around 10:30 PM and we thought let’s drive to Lonavala. Lonavala is around 56 km from my place(Baner, Pune). We started to Lonavala at 11:20 PM on bikes and this was the first night ride for all of us.
We started our ride and we took the Pune-Bombay highway and all along the highway we could see were only mountains and barely vehicles. I could feel the cold biting into my toes and the ends of my fingers. We reached Lonavala by 12:05 AM and started thinking about our return. But then I googled and found there were night places to visit in Lonavala. Following Google, we drove another 5 km and found absolutely nothing but a man selling Maggi. It was the middle of the night and it was freezing cold, we wanted to fuel our tummies with Maggi. That was the costliest Maggi I ever had in my life. We then started driving back to Pune around 1:20 AM and reached our place by 2:10 AM. Though we didn't find any good sceneries we enjoyed our debut night ride.
