Every trek is a learning opportunity.. MemoryLane

Whenever you ask people to join you for "TREKKING" , many would get excited but very few would take this leap of faith. To understand the real essence & magnificence of mountains one needs to be in the lap of nature.

I still remember the time when I had to plan my 1st trek. Was an extremely tough decision to select the trail that i wanted to go but was sure it had to be something challenging. Levels of difficulty for each one would obviously differ. I selected ROOPKUND. It's an high altitude Himalayan Trek in Uttarakhand. Wasn't an easy choice but then allowed the gamble to roll over. It was a 9 day route. Extremely scenic and mesmerizing.

My 1st trek has given me immense amount of learning. The most important being that you are completely cut off from the commercial world. No mobile networks or tv. No cars or roads for that matter. Its like giving yourself an opportunity to explore the real you. Plus the greatest embellishment being that you may come across many different people come together with a common force of gracing the nature. People from different zones and different genres who may end up being friends with you for lifetime.

Every trek is different & may have various unique types of terrain. Some may be on rocky terrain or on snow or through the water systems or may also experience vast landscape of meadows. You may start with hot and greener beauty initially gradually moving towards snow at the summit. Few trails like the Stok kangri trek in Ladakh would be more grey & deserted through out. Whichever trail it may be, you are totally in the nature and will be surprised every hour the different varieties which mother nature has to offer. The breathtaking views of landscapes are just beyond words to be expressed. You may also come cross many small hamlets and treat yourself with the local pahadi culture. You realise how each one stays in minimalism and are always satisfied souls. Each person will have a different story to narrate. Its only when u meet them you realise that the mountains that is taking a heavy toll on you to climb is like cakewalk for the locals staying here.

Your mind will be super relaxed & rejuvenated being in the midst of nature. You will learn the art & reason for conserving the nature. Last but not the least I strongly believe that no luxury in your life would be as comforting as being in discomfort of the mountains. Your respect and love for the nature would get endless.
