We went from Pune city to Lavasa (around 40kms from Pune) by booking an outstation Uber. You need to pre book a resort for entering Lavasa or you are not allowed in the town. Also they used to charge 500 rs as entry fee in pre- COVID times which they are not charging now. There are few good resorts with a beautiful breath taking view. We booked a deluxe room in Antariksh retreat. Good service with each room having a good lake view. They have indoor games also. Food was a bit costlier but great. If you are taking your own vehicle, you can drive upto the lake and enjoy the surroundings. If you are not, you can book a local cab from the resort for the return journey, which would cost approx 1800-2000 Rs from Lavasa to Pune city, depends on your bargaining skills (p.s I don't have any). Another resort worth mentioning is Ekant, a bit on the costlier side but worth a look. Lavasa is not completely open for tourism, so don’t expect water sports. The number of tourists in this place has still not increased, so you can enjoy the quiet peaceful surroundings to yourself. The owner of the resort where I stayed gifted me a lemon sapling as a parting gift, big thank you to him.
