Day 1

Our journey started with a connected flight to our first destination for 3 nights to langkawi which is one of the well known islands of Malaysia famous for Eagles. Our flight took a 4 hours layover at Kaula Lampur ,capital city of Malaysia, we grabbed our quick breakfast and planned our trip and enjoyed the well maintained and beautifully designed airport. The scheduled flight was a bit early , we departed and it took us just 50 mins from there to land our destination, Langkawi islands. It was as beautiful as it was looking from our flight. The sea is much clearer and population is low. Airport is small but well maintained and duty free shops. We took a sim card from the airport itself. Meanwhile, our driver came to take us to our homestay. It was a cottage with greenary all around in the main city of Kuah in Langkawi. We rented a scooter from one of the connected person to our owner. We booked a cottage like homestay from Airbnb, a trustworthy site to book your holidays. It was exactly as we saw in the pictures and owner was nice too and friendly. The place was in the main Kuah town with market area nearby. We rested for sometime and left to see the nearest place from our homestay that is The Eagle square which consists of a large eagle statue and sunsets looks beautiful from there. Langkawi is an island where after sunset ,you will hardly see people on roads. At 2000hours you will feel like its  0100 hours in night. We grabbed our dinner and drinks for night and came back to our cottage. For those who loves hard drinks, its one of the cheapest place I have seen to buy from duty free. Petrol is also cheaper compared to India.

Day 2

The next day we planned to visit "The Oriental Village". Its a place from where you can visit the most beautiful Sky Bridge. We reached there in around 40 mins from main Kuah town by our scooter. Its free to get an entry in the Oriental Village but have to buy tickets for all the attractions inside the place. We quickly had  our snacks and bought tickets for the Sky Cab which was going to take us to the Bridge. No drinks are allowed to be taken in the sky cab. The cab services are real quick as we didn't have to wait much. The cab took us to a place 700m above ground level. We had a halt there, took pictures and got into another sky cab towards the bridge. The view from there was amazingly beautiful. Finally when we reached the top station, we saw two ways to reach the bridge , firstly via trolly train and secondly via forest route (by walk). We bought ticket for the forest route and walked down the stair to reach the bridge. You can imagine the view from there through pic down here.
From there we went to see the waterfall near oriental village, although there was not much water there due to summer. We came back to our cottage from there, rested for a while and left again to see the sunset at black sand beach which was in different direction from oriental village. The roads and beach both were empty like no one lives there. Its better to visit places there before the sunset. We reached back to our cottage.

Day 3

The last day of our trip was all about islands and sea. Island hoping sounds great, isn't? And the answer is yes it is great and for us it was one hell of an adventure. There are few options to choose on how you wish to go like via ferry, speed boat but we opted to go via jetski. We were new at this and really didnt wanted to loose this adventurous chance. Its the costliest one among the options. The guide told us the plan and taught us the signal signs which might have been useful while island hoping for safety. We got ready for the adventure. And it began like hell. Sea was really rough and deep, we were new to this, it was scary but more fun. We maintained our own speed througout the way and reached our first destination which was the The pregnant lady island, we bought tickets to go to the fresh water lake which is in the centre of the island surrounded with the pregnant lady shaped mountains. From there we followed our guide to our next place which was the Echo island, it is basically a place between islands where you can feel echo all around. It was amazing there, took some selfies and pictures too. After that we went to another island famous for snorkeling and then the last one, which had more rocks, we took a lot of pictures there and the view of Langkawi island was beautiful. By that time we became kind of perfect in driving jetski. That was our island hoping. We had our lunch from an indian resturant, its yum when comes to paneer and naan. Our next place of the trip was The Underwater World, which actually an aquarium. It was evening by then, so planned to go for shopping. In Kuah town, you can find street markets too on weekdays, we found one near our cottage. Its a great place for non-veg foodies, you will find a great variety to try. And the next day, we had our flight back to India. Langkawi is a place all must have in there travel list. We checked it out and now its your turn, ofcource after the Covid'19 situation is handled. Stay safe and healthy.
