With women breaking the glass-ceiling in many male-dominated fields, gender roles can no longer define our dreams and aspirations!
Ditching the very mundane life, five women braced their motorcycles and embarked upon a journey to explore heritage tourist destinations, through diverse vistas across Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh.
They were flagged off by UP minister Nand Gopal Nandi in the presence of Jhansi DM Ravindra Kumar and mayor Bihari Lal Arya during the Independence Day celebrations.
Bundelkhand is at its best during monsoon, hence the bikers were on a five-day drive to explore Bundelkhand which culminated in Chitrakoot. The bikers visited various places in Jhansi, including the historic fort and were accompanied by over a dozen local women who were on their two-wheelers, and further proceeded towards Lalitpur.
Purpose Of The Tour
The aim of the tour was to spread a message about the unexplored beauty of the vast heritage tourism to the masses while attracting more and more tourists which these bikers would be doing through blogging. In addition, a message of safety was also sent for the solo female travellers visiting Bundelkhand.
The Experience
These five regular women who have done extraordinarily well in their fields, went out of their way becoming travel inspiration! The biking team leader Swati Singh Navya, an event manager; together with her team members- Shweta Dubey, a special child educator; Samriddhi, a teacher; Priya Singh, an under-graduate student and Fiza Fatima, a law student, had an unforgettable experience while visiting Jain temples of Devgarh Hills in Lalitpur which resembled Uttarakhand with the backdrop of river Betwa!
