If there's anything better than camping under the stars, it has to be camping under the stars on an island! Well, let's face it—there just can't be anything more beautiful and exciting than exploring an island and lazing around on a shore with your friends and family.
A bunch of guys from Bengaluru seem to have identified the task at hand and are organising an adventure camp on an island, just four hours away from the chaotic city of Hyderabad. What's better is that you won't even have to shell out big bucks for this unique experience of camping out in the middle of a lake!
What is the Island Camping experience?
The Island Camping experience at Laknavaram is the brainchild of the Bengaluru-based adventure trip organisers, Freakouts. Merely 200 km from the city of Hyderabad, the two-day adventure camp promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience and doesn't even cost a bomb!
Apart from soaking in the feel of camping on an island in the middle of nowhere, campers can indulge in adventure activities such as kayaking and high-rope walking. The camp also promises memorable evenings with lip-smacking food, great music, bonfires and some really amazing vibes.
When is the camp happening?
The camp will be organised every weekend starting 20 January 2018 and will go on till 28 April 2018.
Where is the camp happening?
The adventure camp is put up on an island right in the middle of the beautiful Laknavaram Lake. One of the best offbeat weekend getaways from Hyderabad, the Laknavaram Lake owing to its pristine blue waters, picturesque surroundings and serene setting, is the ideal spot to escape the madness of the daily life.
Why you should go for it
The team at Freakouts promises a memorable weekend of camping wherein you can bid adieu to all your worries, sit back, relax and unwind with your near and dear ones in a gorgeous setting. Here’s what you can expect over the course of the camping experience:
Day 1
Reach the Laknavaram Lake around noon and bond with fellow campers over a lakeside buffet lunch. Post lunch, you will be escorted to the camp site. Spend the afternoon taking a walk through the lush green forests and exploring the island. Watch the beautiful sunset from the shore of the island which will be accompanied by a high tea. The onset on the evening will witness a bonfire party with interesting conversations, foot-tapping music and a hearty dinner.
Day 2
The second day at the camp will kick off with an early morning breakfast after which you will set out for kayaking in the massive lake. While trained professionals will be present on-site to guide first-timers, old-timers can pick up a kayak on their own and venture out to explore the ends of the lake. The kayaking session will be followed by a high-rope walk between two islands that will be carried out under expert supervision with proper safety measures. Post the adventure activities, you will be dropped off at the lakeside from where you can head back home.
What about tickets
The island camping experience will cost you ₹4,000 per person. The price includes all meals while at the camp, accommodation, charges for guide and safety equipment, official permissions and adventure activities. You can click here to book your tickets now!
