Nestled in the serene Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Naggar town and Rumsu village make for a perfect trekking destination for adventure enthusiasts. The trek from Naggar town to Rumsu village covers a distance of approximately 9 kilometers and is of moderate difficulty, making it an ideal option for both novice and seasoned trekkers.

The trek commences from the beautiful town of Naggar, located at an altitude of around 1,760 meters above sea level. The route takes you through the lush apple orchards, which Naggar is famous for, offering stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range, green forests, and the Kullu valley. The initial climb is gradual and provides ample opportunities to capture beautiful moments of the town.

After walking for approximately 2 kilometers, trekkers reach the beautiful village of Kais, situated at an altitude of 1,800 meters. The village is renowned for its apple orchards, which boast of the sweetest and juiciest apples in the region. The Kais monastery, situated on the outskirts of the village, is a 14th-century structure that showcases traditional Himachali architecture and is known for its beautiful wall paintings and thangkas.

The trek further leads through dense pine, oak, and cedar forests, which are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The hike through the forest can be challenging, with the path being steep and rocky in some areas. However, the serene and peaceful environment, along with the chirping of birds, more than compensates for the effort.

After walking for around 5 kilometers, trekkers arrive at Rumsu village, situated at an altitude of around 2,950 meters. The village is known for its beautiful traditional Himachali houses and stunning views of the Kullu valley. A small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is also present in the village, which is a perfect example of traditional Himachali architecture and is known for its intricate carvings and beautiful wall paintings.

The trek from Naggar town to Rumsu village offers a perfect blend of adventure and beauty, taking trekkers through the stunning apple orchards, dense forests, and traditional Himachali villages. The trek is relatively easy and can be completed in approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on the pace of the trekker.

To make the trek more comfortable, it is essential to carry enough water and snacks to keep oneself hydrated and energized throughout the journey. Comfortable trekking shoes and clothes should also be worn, with a good quality backpack to carry all essential items. It is also advisable to carry a camera to capture the breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range and the Kullu valley.

In conclusion, the trek from Naggar town to Rumsu village is a perfect option for those who want to experience the unexplored beauty of Himachal Pradesh. The route offers an ideal opportunity to witness the region's natural beauty and traditional Himachali culture, making it a must-do for all trekking enthusiasts visiting the area.
