Starting 15th April 2016, Malaysia extended the e-visa facility to Indians with a processing time of merely 24 working hours, probably the easiest you can get on an Indian passport. Most of the people and agents are not aware of the fact. Here is the link to the e-visa portal – https://www.windowmalaysia.my/evisa/evisa.jsp
The Air Asia flights to Kuala Lumpur are as cheap as Rs 9000/- for a return ticket if booked in time. Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi costs only Rs 2000/- for a return ticket. That’s cheap as hell.
With excellent transport connections, amazing nature, killer nightlife and rich cuisine, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and George Town are the places to visit. Do you know Sipadan Island is one of the best diving sites in the world?
The island of Langkawi is a hidden gem with clean white sand beaches and lush green It is also duty-free which makes sleeping, eating, drinking and filling up the tank of your hired vehicle very affordable. A 10-day trip can be planned in a budget of INR 35,000/-
Malaysia is very unexplored and completely worth the experience. Its vicinity to India makes it very convenient for anyone to visit. Grab the opportunity before it gets flooded with tourists, which I'm sure is going to happen soon with the 24 hr e-visa in effect.
Skip Thailand this year, Malaysia is the place to be.
