We had never imagined that the year 2020 will treat us like this. Who would have thought that the whole human race will be at danger and something like coronavirus will force us to be at home? Being a traveler, I know how much I miss being at the road, discovering some new destinations, talking about it. In a nutshell, I love to be a storyteller where I discuss my experience with others and try to connect a relation with them. For me, the word travel defines my freedom in this era. And with the coronavirus outbreak, travel which I love so much came at stake. Social distancing, not able to hug is something I had never want and will surely never want to see any such situation ever In my life again.

But I was thankful that before the situation can get worse, I had enjoyed my last vacation to my first foreign trip. I clearly remember that I was excited like a two-year-old kid for my trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I can recall the beautiful Malaysia advertisements on television which says ‘Malaysia truly Asia’.

Starting the trip from Delhi, I can remember the anxiety and excitement level I was feeling. The journey from Delhi to Kaula Lumpur is six hours. I boded late night flight and reached Kuala Lumpur early morning.

Before going ahead with my experience, I must admit that the landing on a foreign land has its own anticipation. My whole body system was trying to adjust with a place which was my home for some hours. Our stay at Kuala Lumpur was not for long.

I had already listed the places which I wanted to see. So not wasting much time l booked my cab from Grab app which is cheapest to travel anywhere.

The first place in Kuala Lumpur I visited was Batu Caves. One of the most frequently visited place, Batu Caves is an iconic tourist destination. Located in Selangor, the cave is made of limestone and has three main caves featuring Hindu temples and shrines.

If you goggled about the caves then you have probably seen a large statue measuring 42 meters and the colourful staircase. The place is highly recommended to pay a visit.

To get to the caves, I climbed almost 300 steps. I was totally tired by the time I reached the main cave. And also beware from the monkeys. The place has a lot of monkeys. The women visiting had to cover their feet as it is considered inauspicious.

When heading upstairs, do take a look in the downward direction at the view. Remember the higher you get, the more beautiful view you will see. Once I reached the top, the view will make you feel relaxed. There are temples with Hindu gods. The aromatic environment was just perfect to go ahead with my trip further. The caves were nothing less than a dash of colours. Such colourful idols and aromatic smell of agarbattis were making me feel rejuvenating.
