Someone said, "there's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, absolutely free. Don't miss so many of them."
So here we were sipping on a bottle of beer, by the waters splashing on our feet, on the sands of Railey Beach, and watching the sun go down. It's crazy how within a matter of few hours our places change (in our case from a jam packed airport to a secluded beach right in the middle of nowhere) !! It was our first day of the Thailand trip and as soon as we reached our hotel in Krabi, we left to explore on foot. We were very hungry and thought of having our lunch somewhere by the beach and just then spotted a restaurant with a beautiful beachy vibe which became our first stop of the trip.
For your information, there are depots just by the beach which offers a number of tours to the various islands. You can book right then and there. Last rides to the islands end around 5 (that's what we were told). They operate only if there are a certain number of passengers for the ride (no need to worry for that since there are always many!!). We booked one of them in a 'long tail boat' to the West Railey beach.
There's not just enough of the beauty of the waters that you can possibly get. The boat is a basic one but a lot of fun. I always feel that nature really has something unique to offer every time. The tall limestone structure that jutted out of the waters, interspersed all around, was a sight to watch out for. It was just a 15 min ride to the Island which got over in a splash of an eye. Fell in love with the island just in an instant. White sand beach and surrounded by the limestones hills all around. There were not many people there which added to the beauty of it. After walking around and taking in the purest air, we sat on the beach with a bottle of beer each to watch the sun vanishing in the waters. What can be more beautiful than this scene and endless talks about life!!
Sadly, it wasn't endless coz we had to get back. The last boat was waiting and if we missed it we would be stranded on the island! We took the boat back, promising to come back and spend one night at least in this beautiful serene island!!

Suggestion - If you happen to visit Krabi, do not miss Railey beach and spend atleast some time there. Better if u can spend a night in here coz they do have a resort here. If you want the details of the resort, let me know will try to provide.
There are food stalls and drinks available. But we found those a tad bit expensive from the mainland. But still having a lil something (specially cold beer) with the view is worth it.
Pre island tour bookings are not required since you would find a lot of options all over Krabi.
