Tourism Ministry Of India is giving much priority to boost domestic travel. It will help industries like hospitality, local ventures, promote unknown locations and restore heritage & historical sites around the country so that different communities and cultures come together and appreciate the differences and diversity.
The Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel recently made announcement on closing ceremony two day National Tourism Conference, which was organized by Orissa government in association with FICCI at Konark. Center will reward with incentive to the travelers who visits at least 15 or more domestic tourists destinations within a year.
However, there's a small catch; the travelers will get incentive and not any kind of monetary prize. He said, "The Tourism Ministry will fund the travel expenses of tourists who visit 15 destinations in the country in a year and submit the photos in our website. However, the condition is that the person should travel out of his/her own state to be eligible for the contention. We should honour these persons as brand ambassadors of Indian tourism."

Adding to this the FICCI eastern tourism committee chairman Soubhagya Mahapatra said, there should be more tourist trains to connect more destinations. -"The Center can coordinate with states to introduce more tourist trains to connect various undiscovered areas of India".
"Prime Minister Modi had urged Indians to visit at least 15 domestic tourist destinations by 2022, our campaign aims to make that pledge a reality," Patel added. "We will start a mass movement encouraging every Indian to visit more domestic destinations, this will boost up local as well as national economy," Patel told IANS.
Indian travellers can also take a pledge to visit 15 destinations by 2022 and get a certificate.
