Whenever You visit Kolkata,Your trip is incomplete without visiting places like Victoria Memorial, Belur Math,Kalighat,Howrah Bridge,Bada Bazar and of course Bengali Fuchka and street food.
I recently visited Kolkata for giving my Engineering exams but as a traveller from heart,I had less time but I decided to visit the monument of timeless beauty Victoria Memorial.
It was basically a palace designed for Queen Victoria for her visit to India. It has grand marble structure and almost thousands of labourers were employed to make this grand structure. All efficient engineer of that era worked hard to make this beauty.
This building, however after Independence has been turned into a museum with a vast collection of facts, writings, painting, ornaments of various leaders and what not.You will also get 300 years old writing of Englishmen who were then living here. Here are some pictures from my trip..
