If you like old unique structured buildings and I tell you don't need a whole day to visit such three places near Kolkata,what do you say? You heard me right! You just need a half day for it.Let's talk about these places.
1.Hanseswari Temple
2.Bandel Church
3.Hoogly Imambara
My suggestion is to start with Hanseswari Temple,then Bandel Church and lastly Hoogly Imambara.Or starting from the Imambara,then the Church and then the Temple.I am suggesting this because they located one after another.So this will take less time.
If local trains are started you can visit here by coming to Bandel.Then take a train to Bansberia Station.There you get local toto to the Hanseswari Temple.From there you will get auto from the ghat near Temple to Bandel Church which will take maximum 20mins.From there you also get auto to market near Hoogly Imambara which will take 5mins from the market it's 2mins walking distance.Then you can come to Hoogly Railway Station nearby to come back.
Now let's talk about the other way to visit here.Take your bike or book a taxi.First come directly to the Hanseswari Temple crossing the Vivekananda Setu or Ishwar Gupta Setu.Then Bandel Church is 15mins aways.Lastly Hoogly Imambara is 5mins away from there.Then you can come back using the same way.
From Dum Dum it will take maximum to 1.5hrs to go and 1.5hrs to come back. 30mins in total to go one place to another. If I take 40mins to visit each place.It will take 2hrs in total.So, 1.5hrs + 0.5 hrs + 2hrs + 1.5 hrs = 5.5hrs. That's within a half day,right?
