Amazing sikkim

Boarded a overnight train from Kolkata and reached new jalpaiguri station . Took a shared auto to snt bus stop and from there boarded a bus to Gangtok. The journey towards Gangtok was filled with mesmerising views of the teesta river, mountains and what not . After reaching out  hotel  I took some rest and came out to stroll  in the roads of Gangtok. Mg marg is the most happening street of Gangtok, i strolled around mg marg and ate of alots of amazing Street food ( thupka , MOMO )

After waking up early in the morning , i had my breakfast and than moved towards the taxi stand and boarded my shared cab for lachung ( North sikkim). There were many waterfalls In the way and the villages were quite clean and amazing . I reached lachung at around 6:00 pm in the evening  and hopped around the village and met some locals and ended up finding a aunty of 78 years old who didn't seemed to be so old ,the temperature was -5 in the night so after having our dinner i slept.

The night was too cold , i was  stunned to see the small water passage in front of our hotel turned ice . After having our  breakfast  we  headed  towards katao which is a army area and from where the indo China border is just 7 miles , we had a glance of how Indian armies jawans survived in temperature as low as -7 to -18. The BRO jawans offered us some tea and I had some chit chat with them . After an hour or so we moved towards yumthang valley and had fun playing with snow , And then moved towards Gangtok .

We woke up early in the morning and after getting our permit we moved towards nathula pass the indo China border . The road towards nathula is beautiful , in the way we saw changu lake ( a frozen lake ) , Nathula pass is at a height of 14140 ft above the sea level so the moment we reached we started felling the problem of low oxygen . From there we moved towards harbajan Singh temple , which was looking amazing in the weather. Than we drove back to Gangtok.
