The North Eastern states of India is still far less explored and many Gems like "The Duzoku Valley" in the state of Nagaland remains pristine and untouched far from the mainstream.
The beauty of North East has been overshadowed for long due to issues of insurgency's . But over the last decade the situations here has been far more favourable and tourists and tourism has started flocking in to the NE states .
The Duzoku valley is nestled close to the city of Kohima , Nagaland at an altitude of 2438ft above sea level. One can track to this valley either from Viswema village which is around 15km from Kohima or at Zakhama village foothills.
I along with 5 of my friends had travelled to Duzoku in December 1st week 2019 . The 1st week of December which also commemorate the starting of a famous Naga cultural fest called " Hornbill festival" at Kohima . Hornbill is one of the biggest tribal festivals in India where various tribes of Nagaland showcase their indigenous culture and exotic ways of living. Anybody traveling to Nagaland during this time of the year can club both this event the Duzoku track and the Hornbill festival to make it a memorable trip.
Posting some of the pictures taken by our our bunch during the trip.
Any one interested to know more about this beautiful place can write to me .
