Wayanad - land without chaos

Day 1

After numerous try to run away from corporate mess, finally got chance to get away from suffocated status quo. This trip was impromptu , without any research that I usually do in erratic manner. Have booked bus from Make My Trip. First one has to go preferred pick up point which was Madiwala .

Kalpetta

Bus from Bengaluru to Wayand took 5.30 hours to reach Kalpetta Bustand ,in the wee hours of morning 5.am. Unfortunately we could not check in so early at the resort.

Nothing gave us more pleasure during this long period of endless waiting is Hot Vada . It was so satiating one could forget all troubles

Udupi Pure Vegetarian Restaurant

Finally when some light was visible we had awesome yum breakfast at Udupi which was delightful. Best thing we liked about this is the Sambar was not sweet

Finally we arrived at Woodrose Rose resort. This is a budget property, situated close to Kalpetta Bustand. Beautiful boutique resort with amazing view of Chempra Peak.

Chembra Peak

View from room was the most Amazing view. Such serene silence & tranquility will satiate inner soul to unimaginable heights

We spend the entire day at resort, just gazing at magnificent view. Sometimes doing nothing gives a sense of triumph over inner demons. Being an avid foodie we relished the sumptuous lunch, showered upon us with great kindness. We had speciality of that resort. Famous Kerela Parota & Chicken Chetinad.

1980's A Nostalgic Restaurant

In the night we visited the renowned , 1980 Tea Shop .

This place will shift your emotions & imagination to 1980. We had delicious food . Best for me was gheerice

Day 2

Day 2 began early with south indian breakfast.

Then we headed towards tea plantation tour & chempra peak. Road to this marvellous peak was full of beautiful palm trees & tea gardens. Such surreal greenery symbolises utmost divine presence of nature amongst us.
