Waterfront Granary is India's first Museum Hotel built in the year 1877 which has a scenic view of Cochin's waterfront on one side and ancient Mattancherry bazaar on another side. Initially the building was a granary which turned to be a godown later for storing Ayurvedic herbs and now its been converted into a heritage museum hotel. The property is owned by the the Ebrahim Brothers, Afthab and Arshad Ebrahim from the Singeri family, whose ancestors migrated from Gujarat in the early 1800s to Cochin.
