That time of the year when people start reflecting the year that flew by (and a very weird year indeed), start hoping for the best in 2021 and then there are definitely few who start coming up with so called "New Year Resolutions" as well. Somehow, I was never a New Year Resolution kind of a person, it just doesn't seem like my kind of a thing. But if I do think about what I want to do in a year, it is TRAVEL. Travelling brings a sense of peace of mind, relaxes and rejuvenates us and brings in a feeling of pure joy that I can't even explain in words - Hence, what better way to bring in the New Year than a getaway to a farm house set in the middle of a 7 acre organic farm, with a complete natural feel of Kerala 😍
The place we visited was Green Tsavorite Farm, It is located in a place called Paripally, close to Varkala and is about a 1.5 hour drive from Trivandrum.
As we checked in on New Years Eve, we were welcomed with a refreshing juice. Post that they had activities planned - there was a treasure hunt conducted where we were split in two teams and we were given a bunch of clues to complete the activity. Each clue led us to a different part of the farm and was closely related to the farm and plants and trees around us! A really nice activity and some running around later, we were then given some spiced buttermilk and starfruit as a reward :)
This acted as an appetiser leading to a typical Kerala meal - lip-smacking food that was served to us. Really Loved it!
Also they have plenty of activities for us to engage in. We really loved Kayaking in a small stream, walking through paddy fields, bamboo rafting on a pond, playing plenty of games - badminton, cricket, cycling around and playing mud volleyball. Lots and lots of things to do and we felt time was too less!!
Towards end of day we had a nice campfire set up as we awaited the Strike of New Year for the well awaited 2021 :)
