Well, This is my first ever solo trip. I decided to visit Chavakkad beach but ended up changing my plans to visit Fort Kochi and Kumbalangi.
The trip totally cost me ₹3000 which includes staying, fuel, and food. I traveled on my bike so transportation wasn't a problem for me on this trip.
This is my first blog, so please bear with the amateur writing. Hoping to improve myself slowly.
All the pictures have been shot in Sony Alpha 7 IV with Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 and Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8.
Day 1:
I started at my home in Coimbatore by 4:45 AM and I reached Fort Kochi by 9 AM with 2 breaks in-between. The check-in time at Zostel is 12PM. So I decided not to waste any time and ended up riding through Kumbalangi.
It's such an amazing place with very few people. So people who love solitude may give it a try. (Better go in the evening time as it's too hot in the morning-afternoon). I spent some time there taking photographs. And then visited Puthenthode beach which I planned to visit on the second day of my trip.
I just went there just to see the location and I started my journey back to the hostel to check-in.
So after checking in at Zostel, I rested for some time until my phone gets charging. After I visited Ginger House Restaurant to have my lunch(It's a bit costly but really worth for it's ambience) and walked through the streets of Jew Town.
Jew Town is filled with RICH coloured walls which tells people to use them as background for their portraits. (Well I pushed the colours a little bit in Lightroom)
After spending some time in Jew Town, photographing the streets, colours splashed on walls which is beautiful. I started my journey to Princess Street, Fishing Nets, and Fort Kochi Beach.
Being a cat person, I was so happy to see a lot of cats in Burgher and Princess St. And the Best part is.. They don't run away when you "PsPsPs" at them.
I spent the rest of the evening walking and photographing on the beach and returned back to Zostel.
Day 2:
I woke up at 5:30 and started to Puthenthode Beach. I spent the morning photographing the beach and the waves. After sometime I started riding through the streets of Kumbalangi again and found one of the spots where they filmed Kumbalangi Nights movie.
I spent some time around the place taking photographs and started to Zostel to check out. Upon reaching Zostel, I had the chance to spend some quality time with these Fur babies!
After getting ready, I checked out of Zostel and started my journey back home. I saw a lot of places than I actually planned to visit. I know this is really a very small trip but I just really wanted to spend some time in a place which I haven't visited. I got bored staying all the weekends at my home. I've scheduled a lot of trips for the upcoming weekends. I hope there won't be any intrusion into those plans.
I will write another blog If my next trip goes according to my plan. Until then, Goodbye from me! Have a nice time in Fort Kochi if you happened to visit.
