Best attraction of Fort Kochi Beach is the big mechanical Chinese fishing net which will take you 500 years back when it was introduced in Kochi. It's uncommon and amusing to see witness such simple and old-fashioned practice in modern days.
#TIPS: Visit early morning at the sunrise as it gets quite hot and humid during the day.
Indian Coast Guard Ship
It was graceful to see the white coast guard ship in the Arabian sea.
It was a much awaited trip to Kerala. In a three-day trip, I wanted to explore the coastal lines, serene backwaters and local cuisine of Kerala.
Fort Kochi Art Biennale 2016-2017
It's an international art exhibition which happens once in two years at Fort Kochi. Artists come from around the world to display their artwork in various forms.
Food at Fort Kochi
If you like seafood then this is the place to be! I totally enjoyed the local restaurants which offered authentic Kerala and a unique blend of Kerala & European food.
My recommendation would be check out following restaurants:
Next day I drove along the coastal lines from Fort Kochi beach towards Alappuzha. It was a scenic ride with coconut and mangrove trees on one side.
Kannamaly Beach was very quite and I could sit there for hours if weather would have been pleasant.
Kumarakom was the final destination of this Kerala trip. I was soaked in the glory of nature and realised why Kerala is referred as 'God's own country'!
Go there early morning to enjoy the walk in the forest. You may not find lot of birds but if you love nature, it's worth a visit.
Rowing boat ride along the narrow canals of Kumarakom!
It was the most beautiful experience in the entire Kerala trip.. Three hour rowing boat ride along the canals was very soothing and calming. Sound of water splashed by oars, birds chirping and the cool breeze were in perfect harmony.
You can see paddy fields and village homes of fishermen on both side of the backwaters.
