I was Super Excited beacuse i was going to Kerala for the first time. It was a 5 day long trip. Before Boarding the flight i watched many videos on kerala tourism and i was so excited because the scenes i watched in the videos were really beautiful and mesmerizing.
The view from the aircraft was a little foggy because it was winter time. But seeing the view from the plane i was sure that i will enjoy this trip and it will be my one time experience.
I took this picture the moment we landed in the God's Own Country and OMG!. The weather in Kerala was awesomely amazing as you can see in the picture the sky was in its perfect Blue color not even a shade lighter or darker. The Air in Kerala was so pure and Pollution free that i could really feel the purity of Air in each breath that i was taking. It was January and there were no signs of winter.
I was wearing a jacket because i took my flight from Delhi and in delhi the temperature was too Cold.
I was really happy and really Excited because i was finally in Kerala. The city i wish to go someday. Our First destination was (MUNNAR). Munnar was 107 kms away From Cochin Airport and it was a 3.6 hours drive till MUNNAR. The Roads of kerala were very neat and clean. The scenes while driving was really breathtaking and full of greenery. The Roads barely had traffic and drive was very smooth. We had booked everything before coming to Kerala because its really convenient and efficient i also want to suggest everyone if anybody is going for a trip so book everything in advance because it is really time saving and it saves you from getting cheated.
This picture which i had taken with my father when we stopped at some waterfall midway to our Hotel.
This was our resort it was really beautiful because it was surrounded by greenery all over. Place was really quite and calming the place where the resort was really cuts you from the world and bring you really close to the nature. Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level,[2] in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India".
This is the view from my rooms window the room was really good and it was of descent size the beds were really comfy. They had some rides for kids to chill as you can see in this picture. So after getting into my room i unpacked my bag and just went to sleep because i was very tired.
After a good sleep of 3 hours i saw that it was dark outside so i went out of the room to chill with my group.
The view of the resort in the night was more beautiful then in the daytime i am really sorry for the bad quality of this picture this picture is not justifying the view which i was enjoying. In daytime its not that cool but in the night it falls a little bit . So after some chit chats we went for dinner and after that we went to sleep because tomorrow we had to woke up early because we had planned some activities. Whole night i was dreaming about how will be my next day.
I was ready early in the morning to have breakfast and to click some pictures .
SO they have like a really cute and small dining area where everyone comes to have breakfast lunch and dinner. They have fix menu for everyday and they have really tasty and healthy breakfast.
So this was my breakfast on DAY02 before leaving for the tour of that day . It was really tasty and one thing i liked that was the cutlery it was really clean and cute.
Some clicks before leaving for the day.
SO we have decided to take this jeep safari as our first activity for the day. This Jeep safari was really in affordable price and the safari guy told us that it will cover two to three places first was (Off Roading) and after that they will take us to some kind of (waterfall) and after that The ECO Point .
This picture can tell you how was the off roading it was really thrilling and adventures we really enjoyed it..
So after the thrilling ride we headed towards to see the waterfall and oh my my!! i was so excited to see the waterfall because i haven't seen a waterfall before in real life and i was really want to swim in the river.
ACCORDING TO THIS WARNING SIGN BOARD i won't be able to swim ....
We stopped here in the way towards the waterfall to takes some pictues.
After half an hour of searching we finally found the waterfall. And you guys will be surprised when i will tell you how we found the waterfall . We found the waterfall by following its sound trails hahaha i know its funny the feeling i had after founding waterfall was really great its like i have achieved something that the and OMG!! the sound of the waterfall was really calming my mind.
So after enjoying the waterfall we went to see the IDUKKI DAM . The Idukki Dam is a double curvature Arch dam constructed across the Periyar River in a narrow gorge between two granite hills locally known as Kuravan and Kurathi in Kerala, India. At 168.91 metres (554.2 ft), it is one of the highest arch dams in Asia. It is constructed and owned by the Kerala State Electricity Board. It supports a 780 MW hydroelectric power station in Moolamattom, which started generating power on 4 October 1975.The dam type is a concrete, double curvature parabolic, thin arc dam.
So this was the suspension bridge all i know is that Britishers made this. This bridge was made before india got its independence.
So this was our fourth location this is the place where chennai express (the movie) got shot. So i want to have a picture in bollywood style so i told my father to pose for the picture.
So after seeing the chennai express shooting location we went to see the ECO point and i don't have to tell what is an ECO point LOL.
The location was so good and quite i fall in love with the place. And i don't know why i was getting a vibe like the movie zindagi milegi na dobara the song from that film was going in my mind in loop it was amazing to be there.
We don't really want to go to an adventure park but we have kids with us so we have to go..
The first activity we have done was shooting.
After entering the Adventure island i noticed that adults were enjoying more than kids but its totally fine because before they were also kids.
So After the day full of physical activities we headed back to our resort we had dinner and we went to sleep.
Day 03 it was our last day in Munnar and we were going to our new location Thekkady.
AS Usual i had idli sambhar and uttappam but though they many dishes but i liked this more that i had it twice..LOL
To start the day i had chai because i am really a chai lover and the was really really amazing.
So before leaving we had taken this picture at 7 Springs it was really great experience staying there in munnar i refer all of you if you are going to munnar this is the best resort in really good and affordable price. DISCLAIMER (They didn't paid me for the promotion) Just kidding..LOL
Tea is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub (bush) native to East Asia. So this picture is taken when we were moving towards thekkady. Thekkady is 91.3 KMS away from Munnar . It took us around 3 hours of drive approx.
The sun was too bright that we had to put our hands on our heads to get some shade from the sunlight but this selfie looks cool this way also..
So because the sunlight was so good and we some time before we could for thekkady i tested some of my photographic skills..
So after 1 (1/2) of drive we took some rest it was 12 in the afternoon and as usual i had tea.
So before thekkady we have decided to have some fun because we were driving for the whole day and everyone is getting a lil bit frustrated. So we had elephant ride and we feeded elephants. DISCLAIMER (Elephants were not been harmed while taking this picture or at the time of riding). Sorry just being professional LOL.
You won't believe me that this big guy standing in the picture was the baby elephant i swear. He was really huge and cute.
So after the elephant ride we were really starving and want something to eat and the other hotel was a lil bit far so we decided to eat before we reach our resort.
The restaurant was pretty good they have descent food..
I don't really remember where i had took this picture may be between munnar and thekkady.
So finally this was our whole group photo We were 15 people in total.
So Finally we made it to our resort. WE really enjoyed the journey between Munnar to Thekkady it was really adventures though tiring but no complaints because we enjoyed.
So this was the reception area it was relly looking ROYAL i would say because they have great royal furniture all over the place they have great wall paintings etc..
This type of wall paintings were all over the resort and the was giving the resort a really authenticated look.
They have paintings of their culture as well.
This was our room and this is the first picture that i had took in my room.
They have really big rooms with beautiful and authentic furniture the connectivity was really great and they provide you wifi with the room keys.
So this is one of my favorite click from this trip this picture is taken on our DAY 4 before leaving for the PERIYAR TIGER RESERVE.
So we first we have decided to go to the Tea factory to see how tea is made but after that we changed our mind and we a bus for tiger reserve because we all were curious to see tigers because we had already seen the tea plantation.
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT (PERIYAR TIGER RESERVE)
Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is a protected area near Thekkady in the district of Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. The protected area covers an area of 925 km2 (357 sq mi). 305 km2 (118 sq mi) of the core zone was declared as the Periyar National Park in 1982. The park is a repository of rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna and forms the major watershed of two important rivers of Kerala, the Periyar and the Pamba.
So these were the boats which were going to take us deep into the tiger reserve.
The temperature at that was a little bit cold and cloudy and these picture which i had taken can tell you how was our feeling at that time. I was feeling like we were in a movie and everything was looking so surreal.
They had given us the safety jackets to protect ourselfs getting drowned or some situation like that.
So after the ride we went to our resort the ride was really awesome and adventures it was a lifetime experience i refer to all to pls do go to tiger reserve and have fun. After returning to resort back we had foodand went to sleep because it was really late and we have to be ready early tomorrow because we had to check out from the resort to leave for alleppey.
The dinning area was really cool they have decorated it fantastically and the breakfast was delicious and they also have fruits in the Menu which is kind of a good thing to have juices with your breakfast.
The distance between THEKKADY and Alleppey is approx (137.6 KMS) it was a drive of 3 hours and 21 minutes. So after some time we took a break we stopped at some coffee shop this picture i have taken on the entrance of the coffee shop.
This sculupture was the main attraction of the coffee shop. And oh my my the vibes of that coffee was amazing i was feeling like i am in Europe or in some country like that.
So the coffee shop we were in has its own art gallery that i had never seen before in any coffee shop and that's pretty cool i think and the coffee shop owner told me that the can buy the paintings if they want. The Art gallery makes this coffee shop different from any other coffee shop. So i had some conversation with the owner about how he think'ed about having a art gallery in a coffee shop. So the owner told me that painting was his passion and he had a coffee shop and he wanted to show people his talent so he came up with an idea of mixing both the things and it worked. So when he don't have any work in the coffee shop he paints in the free time. I have never seen anyone like him who was so efficient and really hardworking like him. And the main thing that the coffee was brilliant.
I want to tell everyone that if you are going to kerala you should definitely visit this coffee shop.
So after the little stoppage at the coffee shop we directly went to the beach because we have to see the sunset on beach because this is our last day in kerala and i did't want to miss the sunset because i want to click photographs.
I personally loved this picture that i had taken.
While taking this picture the dialogue from the film ZNMD (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) " Shaam bhi thi dhuaa dhuaa Husn bhi thaa udaas udaas Dil ko kayi kahiniyaa yaad si aake rehgai". was going in my head continuously.
These are some shell which i have taken from the sea..
So after having fun on the beach we finally reached our resort. And i was too tired to click some picture of the room so i decided to take the pictures next day in the morning.
This was the only picture that i took before sleeping at the resort.
Day 05 The Lakeshore Resort was our last resort to stay because it was our last day in kerala i was a lil bit emotional and sad because i don't want to go home back because i was fallen in love with kerala.
So after getting fresh N up we had breakfast. So this was the last day of our tour so i clicked some more picture before leaving because the view from the resort was amazing.
So here are some clicks from the resort.
This was the last picture in the room before leaving for the airpot.
So this was our group at the lakeshore resort.
So they both were our saarthi for this kerla trip and the guy standing in the middle was MANNU Bhaiya who was with us from the day one we landed in kerala. We started our journey together when we were totally strangers and ended up being friends. During travelling we between the destinations we shared our memories with each other and had lot of fun. He told me many incidences which he had as a tour guide in kerala and shared my incidences which had as a delhi teenage boy.
WE made a lot of memories in kerala it was a once in a lifetime experience for all of us. And i am feeling very happy to share my memories with all of you guys who wants to travel to kerala so that you can enjoy fully when you visit kerala and make memories that i have made.
I want to thank Tripoto community for giving us (the travellers) the platform where they can share there memories and experiences with the world.
Finally going back to home it was a great journey for me and i am taking all the experiences and adventurous memories with me.
Bye Bye Kerala hope to see you again!!!!
