Day 1

Kerala , Gods own country. Travel the moorland by car with windows up feels like you are in paradise, rejuvenates you with vibrant beauty in the hills of south India. Kerala never disenchants anyone, Let the tropical symphony of Kerala beguile.

Day 1: Munnar

Munnar, Kashmir of South India is an idyllic hill station with tea plantations around. Felt the freshness in the air, infused with heady scent of damp tea leaves. Its criss cross rivers cascades down the imposing rocks is a treat to watch. The road leading to spicy mountains gives you a visual treat / dome of carpets of green and red capsicums laid on roadsides. It is the best place to spend time with your loved ones. We visited some of the places which attracted us to the core.

Ripple falls- Sreenarayana Puram falls gives a scenic view with falls creating ripples.

Hanging Bridge - It was built during British rule, the drive in the bridge gives you goosebumps. The Creek at the bottom leaves you on a curious note - where and how does water flow through these.

Ponmudi Dam- one of the biggest and closest dam which provides water to hydel power project.

Hydel power project was built by dewan of travancore during 1914, providing electricity to major parts of kerala.

Day 4

Alappuzha (Alleppey) - beauty behind backwaters, magic in the everyday and eternity in the ordinary. Everything flows naturally, like the music of palm trees. You can enjoy panoramic views of lush fields, ducks and birds as you glide through water, procuring the pleasure of being in Indian Venice.

Left with a nice thought 'respect water and it will respect you'.

Day 5

Another day in this heavenly place of greenery, mesmerized me with its magnificent architecture (Earlier too!! ). It will let you soak in the architectural brilliance and grace you with serene lake. Mural paintings at Krishnapuram Palace leaves you spellbound. Me being a fan of mural art, fell in love with different shades of colors and depiction of Gajendra Moksham in a painting puzzled me(??).

One more interesting part in this Palace is discovery of Sanskrit Bible published in 1848. In most of South Indian languages, there is much influence from Sanskrit and that's how south Indians can resonate each other instantly.

Apart from these, various Paintings, artifacts and archeological objects are also displayed here.

This trip left me with many memorable memories which can be cherished forever.

There is magic in Kerala. It pulls you towards it every time you visit (I have started making plans for another trip though ????)
