Train to Ernakulam
9 March 2020
We boarded the Trivandrum Mail from Chennai Central to Ernakulam, Kerala at 3:20 pm. We were too excited.
10 March 2020
It was early at 4:00 am in the morning we reached Ernakulam North railways station, from there we took zoomcar for the next 3 days which was already booked by us a few days ago, we were all hungry we wanted coffee and breakfast, But all the shops of town opened at 8:00 am, and we reached 4 hours earlier there, so we waited in the car and open our mobile phone and looking for some place near by so we could spend some time there. so we went to Marine Drive Kochi. Which was deserted early morning. After that we found a Cafe in "Ente Art Bhoomi Centre" ,
ambience was pretty good almost everything was made of wood. We kept waiting for the Café to open at 8:00 am, during which we made lots of fun videos in the car and laugh a lot. This cafe is near Ernakulam Junction South. After having breakfast, we immediately left for Munnar. Which was 117km from kochi as you can see below.
Adventures route to Spice Garden Resort
While heading toward Munnar, instead of taking the Kallar Bridge Road we took a short from Kambiline to Karadippara,
After we arrived, what we saw was worth seeing, such a beautiful place can only be in Munnar. The sound of our shouting echoes on the mountains was something amazing. Below here is my insta page and few pictures of lockhart gap
11 march 2020
We got up early at 5 am got refreshed and headed for the Munnar Top Station to see the Sunrise . There is a barricade on the way to top station so we stopped there thinking when that gate will open but still i step out from the car and look for the person to asked but i didn't see anyone from outside, the after a while a truck came form the opposite side and person from inside came and opened the gate,we asked that person when it will open and guess what he said "it is open go go..." it was easy that at that time was around 5:40 am and we were not too late for sunrise. We walk for a little there, on seeing that our senses flew away..the birds were chirping it was such a mesmerising view..
Eravikulam National Park was 7 km from the Munnar town. then we got a sad news reaching there it was closed because of the breeding season of Nilgiri Tahr ( A Mountain Deer) we will return again to town.
In the evening near 4-4:30 pm we again took the car and head toward Attukad Waterfall which around 5 km from our hotel. Video going towards Waterfalls it is in my insta post its public you can visit have look at it and some pictures that i have taken.
Next Stop Fort Kochi
As soon as we reached Kochi at 4:30 pm in the evening, we went to Fort Kochi and started wandering around the place like Street, Shopping Area. Back again to Fort Kochi View Point,
on the way , as soon as we entered Vagamon, there was a different peace that we had no idea what he was going here. the road is bumpy somehow we reach The Teadale Resort we were happy after seeing the resort it is so beautiful and we booked the suite room for one day, then we went to the reception area got to the news about Coronavirus just because Vagamon was safe at that time hotel were not allowing us to check in or any other outsider people who came from outside the town, just for the safety reason. Then the manger ask police for the allowance but they have a clear mind said no. what could we do then ...we cancelled the booking, spending sometime there we immediately left for the Kochi.
That road was very difficult and bumpy, after a while when we reached near Karadippara, the road started getting very high and our car could not climb, it got stuck in the middle of a road, then i got down the car and put some stones in the back of car so that it won't run down my friend gave acceleration, then i pushed the car a little bit from the behind so that car will move, the road was too steaf because of which the car was in its place. (sounds funny right....) With this breathless and exhausting hardwork, we somehow managed to take the car up to the hill near Karadippara , from there we straight head towards the hotel. You can see few pictures of our hotel from outside and the view.
We were tired after reaching the hotel and it was around 12:00 pm we reached there and had lunch, we took some rest and then we went to Lockhart Gap around 3:00 pm.
then we head back to town at around 5:30 pm and coffee in local cafe. After walking around a little in the street, we went back to the hotel. Then we made a plan for the next day and slept.
After enjoying the sunrise view, we ate Maggi in the stall of the top station, which was a plate of 60 rupees. After that, we stopped in the Tea Garden Of Kannan Devan Hills on the way and had fun.
On Day 3 , In morning we packed our bags put in the car and we left the hotel, On the way, we got off the car and took the last photo of Munnar, we said goodbye to those litigants.
12 march 2020
After checking out of the hotel we went to Vagamon, Which was our next destination, which is 118 km from Munnar in between the way we visit Idukki View Point
via Mattupetty Dam by enjoying the scenic route we headed to Eravikulam National Park.
At the viewpoint we gathered some memories that's how we said goodbye to Fort Kochi and we return to the hotel. Going back here hoping we will meet again.
On the next day in the evening, we boarded Chennai Express Train from Ernakulam Railway Station and returned to Chennai .
So this is my story before Lock-down happened due to COVID19 .
