Last friday when I was rushing with a sweating face to catch KSRTC bus along with friends from Bangalore , i didn't know i am going to explore this coolest riverside named Paniyeli Poru . The unfamiliar name won't give us a high expectation, but when you reach this place after a little drive through the village area the first thing you going to say is a “wow “.
Who ever going to visit this place must be a little adventures because we have to cross small tributaries to reach to the main river area . Forest guides are always at hand to guide you on your journey. Ignoring the warnings by forest guides at Poru can be fatal. The rock ponds found on the way to the Poru waterfall are nearly 20-22ft deep.
The strong water currents and deep vortex formed between the strata of rocks and mangroves can be dangerous. Beware of the strong under currents, before stepping into the water. The slippery rocks and pebbles may lead to danger.
We keep walk till we reach to the permitted area for visitors, the guard who was in the area reminded us do not try to go into the main river ,he helped us to click a number of group photos of us, after resting sometime in the rock beside the river we guided back to one of the safe water side there we can take bath .
