On the way to Kasol... Had a pathetic breakfast at this dhabha which definitely spoiled everyone's mood.

Kheerganga is located deep in Parvati Valley (Kullu Valley) and is perched at an altitude of approximately 2950m.

The most convenient way to get into the Parvati Valley is by road. Total driving time from Delhi to Kasol is about 12 hours, covering approximately 565 Kms. Take tonnes of pit stops for an easy, memorable journey.

Ready...Steady...GO..Go..Go

Kheerganga is an important destination for both Hindus and Sikhs. We all must have heard about that famous story when Lord Shiva asked Ganesh ji and Kartikeya to circumference the earth. Lord Ganesh gave us a great lesson at that time "our parents are our world and he en-circled around Lord Shiv & Parvati".

Years later, Lord Kartikeya returned only to find that Ganesha is the king. In his anger he left Himalaya's and started meditating in this valley which is now popularly known as Kheerganga.

Later, Lord Shiva and Parvati ji came to take Karthikey home. Goddess Parvati wanted to cook for his Son. She made the kheer (rice pudding) from the flowing water. In literal sense Kheerganga turns out to be kheer-ki-ganga (river of rice pudding).

As the locals believe later lord Parshuram, on Parvati ji's request converted Kheer into the water.

Lord Shiva liked this place so much that he decided to stay here. It is said that Lord Shiva meditated here for thousands of years.

The Steam water remains boiling hot throughout the year and is said to be rich in natural minerals and can cure stomach related disorders.

It took us around 5 hours to complete the trek. We stayed the night in tents and had amazing food with bonfire. It was an amazing experience. Please find the Vlog link and some pictures below.
