Bumpy ride enroute Bhuntar-Jari-Kasol
You always learn something from what you do wrong… Post the goof up of getting up early the previous day, I amended my ways to more leisurely ones. Getting up at 9:30 and post a hot bath (it’s amazing how you start appreciating even the small pleasures of life) There were 2 Israelis who were staying on the same floor and after a round of tea with them and some conversations, proceeded to check out the famed German Bakery aka Moonlight Café. A meal shared again with my lovely friends- the furry mountain dogs J
I then picked up a pen, found a nice sunny rock by the riverside and settled on it to pen down my rising mount of thoughts on the experiences of the past couple of days! (long due) There is something soothing in the rushing roar of a river, a noise that is all-encompassing, soothes your very soul, nurtures your mind to enable the free flow of thoughts, phrases and words alike…
My humble hamlet alongside the raging Parvati
And so the thoughts and ink flowed… Here in the midst of nature, in a valley fringed by snow-capped mountains , the whistling wind flowing through my hair seemed to massage my inner being .. leading to a flurry of thoughts and idiosyncrasies to capture in words. There’s something about the mountains that opens up your soul and inner thoughts… As I started noticing and appreciating the smaller joys offered by nature – the twittering of birds, the humming of bees as they danced from flower to flower relishing a delicious meal of natural nectar , all the stars seemed to conjure the making of my journal… the smooth flowing ink filling up pages and pages of my diary…
And so I soaked in.. settled in the heart of the Parvati valley..made the most of my second day in this seemingly forbidden land …
