Bangalore is always famous for its weather and strategic location. If you are in Bangalore, you don’t need to think much as there are lot of options. This time we thought of exploring the Tiger’s den. We chose Bandipur. Its 220 kms from Bangalore.
Bandipur National Park, an 874-sq.-km forested reserve in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, is known for its small population of tigers. Once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Mysore, the park also harbors Indian elephants, spotted deer, gaurs (bison), antelopes and numerous other native species.
So ideal place for a weekend bike ride. This time we were 6 people and 3 bikes. We started on one Saturday early morning at 4am sharp. We took Mysore road and after mysore, we rode through NH66. The road condition was good and that’s what helped us to maintain an average speed of 90 km/hr to 100km/hr. This helped us to cross Mysore before it got congested.
By 11am we reached Bandipur. The weather was too good, bright and sunny. We went to B R hills. The road was too good. For the bikers and the photographers its almost like heaven.
Next day we went for safari in the early morning. Although we could not see anything other than deer , byson and peacock but still the safari was good, we all enjoyed it. Our trip was for 2 days and so after the safari we started for Bangalore. We reached Bangalore by 7pm on Sunday.
