Temple Tour through Western Ghats

Started from Bangalore at 11am.

Travelled 289km to Kukke Subrahmanya.

On way had poori bhaji at Kamats on Bangalore-Hassan road.

Checked into Vijay Comforts at Subrahmanya at 4:30pm.

Visited temple, watched aartis of Subrahmanya untill 8pm.

Back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Visited Kukke Subrahmanya temple again at 9am for darshan.

Post breakfast checked out hotel and Started for Dharamsthala at 54km away.

Reached Dharmashtala at 11:30am.

Gates opened at 12 noon and had darshan of Manjunath Swamy and Annavaru.

Started for Udupi, 106km away.

Enroute had sumptuous and nice anna sambar south meals at a non descriptive small town hotel.

Reached Udupi at 4:00pm.

Shree Krishna mutt was open with very few devotees.

Visited Chandramauleeswara temple, Shankaracharya mutt and another Goddess temple.

Started for Sringeri, 83km away.

Enroute to Sringeri had breathtaking views of Agumbe heights and lush green canopy, while passing through it around 7pm.

Hair pin curve ghat roads at dusk in the midst of dense Western ghat rain forests gave goose bumps.

Reached Sringeri home stay at 8pm, 2 km away from Sharada temple complex.

Dinner and night stay at eco village type home stay.

Visited Sharadamba Sringeri Mutt, Vidyashankar temple, Adi Shankaracharya temple, Torana Ganesh temple and many other in the vincity of temple complex.

Had darshan of Jadagguru Shankaracharya at his Guru Nilaya, amidst the monastic Sanskrit vedic school.

Post late breakfast, checking out home stay headed towards Bangalore at 12 noon.

Enroute to Bangalore, visited the Hoysala architecture masterpiece Chennakesava temple at Belur.

Post lunch at Vishnu Residency visited nearby Pataleswara temple.

Taking in between couple of tea breaks, finally reached Bangalore at 9pm.
