Trip to Hampi in South Karnataka was my first from Bangalore with my own earning. After joining HAL, Helicopter Division in April 2007 and upon completion of one year of training in Bangalore, Hampi (legendary capital of the glorious, rich and the powerful Vijayanagara Empire which rose to its peak under the rule of King Krishnadeva Raya in 16th century CE) was my first destination that I visited with my two of my friends-one my engineering batchmate and the other a guy from my training batch in HAL.

It was a trip by state owned KSRTC bus from Bangalore to Hampi and back. It took around 8-10 hours by bus one way. Since it was my first trip on my own and I had only started documenting my travel experiences, I could only jot down the spots we visited in Hampi in my first entry in my personal travel diary which I have now decided to make it public, but since typing all the entries in quite tiring and cumbersome, I am going to scan the my diary entry page by page. Hope my handwriting is not too bad to understand. Detailed information on these places in Hampi can easily be obtained from Karnataka Tourism Website and other travel sites. So, join me as I take you through my journey across my versatile motherland - India.
