The Impromptu Karnataka Trip.

Tripoto
7th Nov 2019

This entire trip was a impromptu plan. We just began planning a day before. Booked our tickets and packed our bags and off we went to the witness the beautiful side of Karnataka.
Took the West Coast Express from Chennai to Mangalore, reaching at 4.30am.
We had a cab waiting for us to take us to The Mookambika Temple, Kollur. This is a 3 hour drive from the Mangalore Central Station.
After we reached, we booked a room to refresh, visited the temple and walked around the temple for an hour. Then we got to know that the Sowparnika River was just hardly a kilometer from the temple. We did not know that we can have a bath, hence did not take spare clothes. But what a clean water and a beautiful space to be under the sun and to dip your feet in one the holy waters.
Went back to our room and got ourselves a power nap for an hour.
We headed to the Byndoor station, 40kms from the temple, to go to GOKARNAAAA. *WOHHOOO*
The cab that we booked, dropped us at the station and the entire drop and pick costed us of 4000rs. *slight disappointment*
There are plenty of buses that head to mookambikai every hour from the Mangalore central station.

We boarded the Mastyagandha Express in the afternoon by 5.15 pm and reached Gokarna by 6.50 pm. And on the way to Gokarna I witnessed the most beautiful sunset of my life. I live for sunsets.
Once reaching, we took an auto to our resort that we had booked for 3 nights/4 days. Our resort, Namaste Samudra Yoga House, was right on the Kudle beach. This was such a good decision that we made. We took a room with a view of paddy fields every morning. And that was hardly 100m from the beach too. This is beautiful place at reasonable rates. The room we booked in costed us about 980rs + taxes. The food was delicious, they got us everything customized. Such friendly staff around the entire resort. All we did was eat, take bath in the beach, witness the most beautiful sunsets every evening and sleep.

This was such a relaxing trip for our family. Came back home with pocket filled with sand and heart filled with gratitude.
