The ride started around 3.30 in the morning. With all that excitement of ride, Had roughly had 2 hours of sleep previous night. Had enough fuel in the tank for next 300 KMs. We Decided to have a tea break for every 100 KMs. The cold wind, the power of KTM Duke, and the roads like AH47,wha..!
Reached Davanagere around 7 in the morning. Refilled the tank and started moving again. Harihar cross was our breakfast stop.
From Bankapura cross to Yellapura, its state highway and single road unlike AH47. But, Roads are in good condition and surrounded by state reserve forests. Picturesque.
It was 11.40 when we reached Yallapura town and it was around 2 Hrs journey from here to agonda. We were in no hurry. So decided to pay visit to Sathoddi Falls which is around 20KM from Yallapura town. The road to sathoddi falls is not at all good. We took around 1 Hour from 20 km. That should explain road conditions.
We spent around 2 hrs at falls , had a good meal at canteen there and a power nap for 30 mins under a tree.
Road from Yallapur to Ankola (NH 52 ) with all the curves, ups n downs, and lush green forest,is every biker's dream. Road is in very good condition.
Road From Ankola to Canacona via Karwar(NH66) was under repair. Reached our stay at around 7.30 in the evening.
We had to ditch all other plans once we saw the Sea. All we did the whole day was Eat- Play in the water - repeat.
Only thing we did different today was 40km ride to Benaulim Beach. Road was in very good condition and we took around 40 mins to reach there from Agonda. The beaches in the south Goa are clean, beautiful and less crowded. You can make out the difference if you visit Panaji or Calangute at this time of the year.
We started the return journey around 10 in the morning. We decided to take the same route back And estimated that we will reach Bangalore by 11 in the night. Everything was as planned until we reached Shira.
It started raining like anything. We had had news of Rain at bangalore and surrounding districts due to Cyclone Vardah. We were not prepared for this. Had to reduce our speeds and give multiple stops in between. Finally it was 2AM in the morning once we reached Room back safely. All I had in mind was to have a Hot water bath once I reach home. Totally, It was a splendid trip.
