St. Marys Island-The best kept secret of Karnatakas

we headed to Murudeshwar from Gokarna in the morning around 8AM. You can take auto and it will charge you around 150 bucks to reach bus stand. From there one can take Murudeshar bus, the bus drops right from of the beautiful architecture of Murudeshwar temple. The Murudeshwar temple has its own history about Ravana and how he wants to get Atmalinga. So its a great history attached to it apart from the eye soothing beautiful view of the city from the 18th floor of the temple. This temple is surrounded by beach, a long view mountains. So we were lucky to be visiting this temple on Shivratri and after that we headed towards the Udupi.

We took a bus from the murudeshwar main road which is around 10 min from the temple. It costed us around 100-150 rs per person. There is direct bus to udupi but the frequency is less. Hence we changed the bus from a stop and finally reached udupi around 8. So Murudeshwar to Udupi is around 3 hours journey. The best budget hotel in the city was Treebo. We took rest the same day and next day we were ready to explore Udupi. We headed to Udupi bus stop and the best part is government bus takes you to the till back waters of Udupi. The best part of the city is one side is back waters and other side its beach. Yeah you read it right!!!!! It was so nice scenery...no crowd only 2-3 people and its village right in front of the beach people are living....lucky!!! On the 2-3km distance from the back waters its hanging beach. That is another attraction ...After that we headed to Malpe beach and the best places i had seen..St. Marry's Island...To reach island one has to take ferry it takes 300 per person and you take spend two hours at the Island...Its the most beautiful place...the breeze..the sand...ohh everything is beautiful at this island...
