Mysore, one of the unique cities which is referred with many names - The Cultural capital of Karnataka/ Heritage City/ City of Palaces/ Sandalwood City/ City of Jasmine
While I used to live in the concrete jungle of Bengaluru, I was in a search of nearby one day getaways to run away from the hustling life to somewhere peaceful and the first nearby place which came into me and my friend's mind was Mysore.
And our decision to go there didn't go wrong, it's one of the beautiful cities of Karnataka with less crowd compared to Bengaluru with rich heritage and culture.
Our journey:
We have taken a early morning bus from Bengaluru's Mysore road satellite bus stop to Mysore and later hired a private cab to roam best places (according to us) in and around Mysore and returned back on the same day using KSRTC bus service
Places we have visited:
Other sightseeing places in and around Mysore which you can visit during your trip:
* Brindavan Gardens and Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysore Zoo)
* Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel (Second largest palace in Mysore), Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery And Auditorium, Folklore Museum, Railway museum
* Karanji Lake (Beautiful walkway amidst butterflies and other birds along with boating facility), Lokaranjan Aqua World Underwater Zone
* Spiritual visits (which has some of the best Architectures and interesting mythological stories): Somnathpur temple, Venugopala Swamy Temple, Sri Nandi temple, Melukote temple, Talakadu, Namdroling Monastery - Golden temple
