Maravanthe Sojourn...!

**Throwback to one of the best staycation by the beach. Though the resort is permanently closed now, yet i would love to share my experience with them !! **

Love sea beaches.... I bet nothing can beat Coastal Karnataka. This time I was out for a small romantic weekend getaway, a break from the usual schedule to a beautiful beach ~Maravanthe.

I have heard a lot about the beautiful view at Marvanthe Beach where the National Highway 66 runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road. The sea is inaccessible and the only way to the sea is Turtle Bay resort. The beach here is a private beach and is accessible only to the visitors of the resort. Needless to say, its very well managed and its beautiful, simple yet at heart's content.

We had a warm welcome at the resort with scrumptious breakfast and filter coffee served. Filled and content we headed toward the sea beach for capturing some beautiful views...making memories for life.

It was a semi cloudy morning and the sea was looking absolutely amazing. Well, that didn't last long. Later part of the day as the sun came up the temperature was definitely rising and kind off made a bit difficult to stand on the beach. Never the less we have our back up plan. Time for some booze to beat the heat !!!

I must comment about the planning of the rooms. They are pretty simple with tiled roof, sea facing. A single window in the room is made in such a way that the bottom part of the pane will serve as table and one can sit next to it enjoy the sea view while having food or drinks. It was indeed innovative, simple and amazing !! Hours can be spend sitting next to it with your beloved and enjoying the conversation over food along with the sea view.

Later afternoon, we walked by the beach for about an hour, marveling at the dark rocks, sunset moments, birds and waves. The backdrop was definitely made for some gorgeous photos! Early evening we rested on the hammock and relaxed. Perfect bliss !!

Maravanthe is one of the most beautiful beach of coastal Karnataka. We witnessed the beautiful sunset of the day. It was mesmerizing. Peace. Serenity. Contentment ~ A mixture of all of these creates the unmatched feeling that overwhelms me when I'm at the beach, watching the constant ebb of the waves and the sun going beyond the horizon.

The contrast created between the dark waters and the luminous sky makes the horizon look like a meeting of two worlds - the known and the unknown. It's breathtakingly beautiful and I'm speechless as I stand before this magnificent sight with someone close to heart by me.

As the sun was almost set, the sky was more purple than red now, The transition from day to night . I breathe in deeply and heed towards the room.

Maravanthe is a must go place for any solo travel enthusiast and for all couples who wants to spend some quality time together away from the city.

The beauty of the beach is such healing, such calm, such heart soothing... I felt like staying back for some more days. But probably thats life.. Good things are momentary !!
