Let me walk you through the experience of a Heritage home stay at Udupi, Mangalore.

I'm a season late in drafting a detailed blog about this experience but it is never too late to let the world know about your explorations. So here I'm going to tell you the tale of our summer reunion that happened this year in a serene space at Udupi near Mangalore. That was indeed my first time in Mangalore to meet our pals over a crazy get-together for two days and to give the authentic Tulunadu touch, they planned the whole meet at a huge heritage home. I felt blessed to spend a lovely time with my people at this place called "Beedu Heritage Villa" in Peruduru at Udupi.

We were around 17 people who planned to meet. I went from my hometown Visakhapatnam and two people landed from Kuwait and Australia for a summer vacation but also this most awaited reunion and the rest were from the homeland Mangalore. The best part was carrying the Kudla vibe and we all became closer through the clubhouse, and it felt strangely surreal to move like a gang under one roof to celebrate a milestone of being together. So, we all started from various spots of Mangalore in our respective cars after facing typical mess-ups in group pick-ups. It was fun indeed to communicate with several people regarding courting the cars, buying the booze, stopping for food breaks, sorting out the stay, and finally reaching the destination.

We were four people in our car reaching the destination crossing the major attractions of Udupi over loud music, the spirit of excitement, and the greenery around. The vibe was scenic everywhere. The more we were heading it, the more it got thickened with coconut trees and a wide range of plants everywhere. It was like getting into typical woods but with residential existence. Finally, we reached the venue and which was spread over acres of land with a muddy yet maintained road with pruned plants on either side, also with a pool at one side, a few cottages on the other and we could see a villa popped up with heritage architectural tints everywhere.

I had a pretty bad start that morning and everything got instantly lifted when I met my pals over lunch before reaching the villa and throughout the route I was boozing. So, the spirits got settled in my system and I was in dire need of a shower because of Mangalore's scorching sun, also it was May. So, I got pretty liberal in choosing my room which was air-conditioned, spacious with an attached bathroom, and all the other essential amenities. Even though we all had no plans of sleeping that night, we all chose our respective rooms to freshen up, deck up, and just drop our bags.

It was a kind of country house with heritage vibes, especially with the polished floors, double-sided staircase, chandeliers, swings, wide balconies, extended exits and entrances on all sides, connecting rooms, passage hallways, and greenery surrounded everywhere. There was a common hall to which we had to extend a special booking where everyone could chill, drink, party, and even play songs on the TV.

I had a lovely shower and took my sweet own time to get decked up like a party-ready chic by the late afternoon. On the other side, my pals already started boozing and partying when I entered the hall. I danced for a while after having some chilled beers. It was evening by the time the spirit started kicking into my system. And the weather calmed down to chill mode and our boys started playing on the vast grassland that spread right in front of the villa. I couldn't resist joining them and hence ended up playing football and volleyball for a while. Sadly, I lost two long nails during the game, but it was hilarious.

A little while later, everyone gathered and the remaining people who had to reach the venue also came along. That's when guitars, songs, and dormant artists in most of us popped up. And there we ended up having a vibrant jam session over drinks on the balcony with the background of the setting sun. Gradually everyone is getting sloshed but pumped up with party moods. Meanwhile, I danced like crazy with all my pals almost everywhere, including at the pool.

Speaking of the pool, this property has a cozy pool space with incandescent lighting hanging over it with the coconut trees surrounding it. It was one of a kind vibe, especially with all the people in swimwear, loud music, and too much laughter over various kinds of conversations. To spice up the scene, I wore my heels and walked on the brink of that pool to spill my androgynous model vibes and that was just the beginning of the show because I wrapped by giving some intense lap dances for my people. It was all in the sport and everyone has appreciated the time we were having that night over music and warmth.

And then some more people added up and we all danced together in the pool until we soaked for hours and again sadly, I broke almost all my nails. Mangalore weather conditions are unpredictable, and we all had to disperse when the rain interrupted our fun. But some of us didn't give up and we were still dancing until it felt like too much water on our bodies.

After that whole pole scene, we left to our respective rooms and cottages to get freshen up and get ready one more time for the night party. It sounds crazy but yeah, we all needed regular changes to keep ourselves fresh in those hot summers. All over the night went crazy with drinks and dances. There was one glitch that happened that day food. By the time we were all ready for dinner, the food we ordered the staff to prepare became stale but luckily, we had some backups to fill our tummies though.

Most of them slept for a while around in the early morning so that they can wake up and check out properly the next day. But some typical party insomniac people, including me, couldn't sleep. Some people were talking all over the night because that's what reunions are all about right, sharing stuff about each other's lives and staying updated. Some of them again ended up at the pool whereas me, balancing out both scenes. I spoke for some time with my people and suddenly realized that I forgot to capture the place.

And that's how I walked all over the property, checked out every nook and corner, and captured tons of pictures and videos for my social media and also for my memories. After that, I spent some good time at the pool embracing the whole morning vibe with the tint of nature around. It was a perfect stay because I got a chance to appreciate this heritage homestay at every part of the day. I was emotionally exhausted, and physically drained out but I didn't want that reunion to be wrapped up soon. But everything must end at one point in time.

After spending some good time together over breakfast and conversations with lovely group pictures, we all got ready, cleared out our rooms, and finally checked out from the stay. It remains an amazing memory for each one of us and we surely cherish it forever, especially the clicks captured by the staff at the property before leaving for another place to chill.
