Rangarayara doddi lake is one of the biggest lakes in Ramanagaram. The recent development has made the lake and the hill beautiful.

Now the lake is one of the tourist places and beautiful view of sunset can be seen sitting on the hills in the glimpse of lake, enjoying the cool air on the top. Rangarayara doddi lake is an awesome experience.
here you can enjoy the boating with dazzling nature ambience.
You can take a dip in the water or go for a take a  in the park area.

It's better to reach here early morning or in the evening.

Note: Do carry all the eatables and water required as there is no shop nearby.
The Road condition is not great.

Sprawling across 776 hectares the Kanva Dam is a man-made lake that attracts visitors from different corners.  Initially, it was established only as an irrigation process but later turned up as a great tourist spot. The reservoir is built across the Kanava river which is a tributary of the Kaveri river and is one of the most scenic spots of the region.

Kanva Reservoir is a man-made artificial lake of Kanva reservoir formed by the waters of river Kanva it is located approx. Kanva Dam was built in 1946 across the Kanva River for irrigation It is 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) long and covers 776 hectares.

This artificial lake used to be a mere irrigation project but now is a famous tourist attraction which attracts bird watchers and adventure seekers. Situated about 60 km from Bangalore, 10 kilometers from Ramanagaram.

The Kanva river (a tributary of the Cauvery river) is named after the sage Kanva, who is believed to have lived in the caves in the mountains and forests around the dam in the time of Ramayana.

On one end of the dam, there is a Fisheries Training Center located. Also some 3 km away a temple dedicated to Purushothama Tirtha Gavi has situated nearby the Kanava Reservoir.

Reservoir has fantastic nature with fresh and cold water. This place is very calm and sedate. Here you can take lot of photographs. It is settled amidst the dense thickets and is a treasure for the bird watchers.

We can enjoy a quiet evening on the shores of the reservoir.
