Day 1

Actually, the travel I did was from back to forth as per title of the blog. Leaving kolhapur by bus at rs 400 bucks and I landed in bijapur taking me 4-5 hours , taking a note that the roads are not good.
Golghumat
The huge dome like structure here was built by Md Ali Shah. As the name says,it is big circular dome and tomb.It was built in the year  1600 .So it is also said that this is 2nd largest dome in the world. The interior is amazing,if you whisper near any wall of the dome ,it can be heard from diagonally aligned side of inner dome. So enjoying the view, my next stop was alamatti dam. Actually nothing great is there to visit there, but being a civil engineer, I thought of going there. Later on I stayed in a hostel wayfarer after visiting Hampi at night.

Day 2

Hampi Hospet
Being a world heritage place ,this place has deep history and beautiful places carved in stones. There are many monuments and meaning behind them. The sculptures and temples are very attractive being the reason why people travel here. This is one of the archeological site I  india. Just beware of monkeys when you are in hospet. And keep exploring the ruins! You can also enjoy the corracle boat ride in the lake near hospet. These all are from 7th century city ruins which are still gorgeous and sturdy.

Day 3

Badami
The vitthal temple from the monuments is one of the oldest one. You have to go through matanga hill. Following this was the cave temple of badami. U ll see people doing yogasanas during this entire trip . Watching sunsets, sunrises and the rice farms alongside the road.  You ll also get a bike on hire in Hampi itself. The badami temple anyway was more of older in 540AD. This is situated near Agasthya lake. So done with the day,I was back in the bus returning to my home town Kolhapur by night !
