Travel Story: Being an active traveler, my search for an unexplored destination away from the city hustle landed me at HAMPI. Explore the magical world of sand stones, boulders, monuments and a hippie culture at one of the most unexplored destination in India. It’s none other than HAMPI. This place shall take you back to the 14th century, all thanks to the ancient ruins that set a striking architectural history. Backpackers and hippies all around the world visit Hampi to sink in the feel of this mesmerizing ancient civilization. You can also opt for a coracle ride at the Tungabhadra River, which will enchant your soul and make you fall in love with this place again and again. Shop. Eat. Travel and experience serenity with your ownself at this heritage sight.

We started off on a Friday night (of course to utilize weekends) via bus and reached hospet on Saturday morning. Both Saturday and Sunday was utilized for sightseeing and bouldering activities. Food at Hampi is beyond awesome, as you get to taste delectable Tibetan cuisine and south Indian delicacies. People at Hampi are very generous, kind and helpful. Simply hire an auto or bicycle for strolling around. The market is full-fledged with attractive souvenirs that you would love to pick for your friends and colleagues. After spending a weekend at Hampi, you can board Sunday night bus and reach Mumbai early in the morning.
