Day 1

Hampi a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO is a truly mesmerizing place. Situated in Karnataka, Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century. We read a lot of articles about it and how peaceful and safe the place is, so I and my friend planned our trip to Hampi. We took a bus from Bangalore to Gangavati at about 10: 45 P.M. and around 6: 30 we reached. We took an auto from gangavati to our hotel Stay Chill. Before we proceed so you know that there are two parts of Hampi one is the temple side which is mostly crowded and the other one is Sanapur and my recommendation would be to book in this area only. Sanapur is a very chill and peaceful place. As soon as we reached our hotel their two dogs greeted us with warm sniffs and playful wagging. We kept our bags and took a scooter on rent to see sanapur lake while our room was getting prepared. We reached there and it was so quiet, we just sat there and admired the beauty of the lake between the rocks. After 15 mins of sitting in silence, we went for a coracle ride which cost us about INR 200. After breakfast, we went back to the hotel got ready and then went to see matunga hill, Anjaneya temple, and some craft houses we had some nice food and we went back to our hotel. At night we wanted to go out so we took an auto and went out and it was so dark yet very safe we ate at some nice restaurant and came back and slept.

Day 2

The second day started with some sore feet because of climbing 100 steps at Anjaneya temple but we got ready because today was the day to explore the ruins of Hampi. We ate some delicious English breakfast and booked an auto for the whole tour of another side of Hampi as scooty wasn’t allowed there. We went to see the golden chariot first then the statue of Ugra Narasimha, the lotus Mahal, Stepped Tank, Shivlinga, Kadalakalu Ganesh then had lunch did some shopping and lastly, visited Vijay Vittala Temple from where my shoes got stolen and I had to walk barefoot until we reached our hotel.

Day 3

The next day we just relaxed at the hotel for some time and then went to see the waterfall nearby and then headed towards a german bakery to eat their famous tiramisu. We directly went to the bus stand from there but it was the hardest goodbye I have ever said to a place.
