Gokarna Over Goa

If you are a tourist, choose Goa but to have a taste of the Hippie lifestyle, schedule your next trip to Gokarna instead.

Situated on the western coast of India, Gokarna is a paradise in disguise. Just over 500 kilometres from Bangalore, Gokarna promises to seep peace deep into your soul.

I will share my experience- commute, stay, eateries, all of it!

Now we are all familiar with the window view from skyscrapers back in our offices but if you cherish a beach view, Sunset cafe is the perfect stay.It is just about 100 meters away from the beach- very comfortable and cheap to stay-- excluding food! (P.S., prior booking is not accepted, you will have to keep calling them for confirmation)

And now it’s PICTURE TIME!

When I am at a beach, every day feels like a Sunday! Nothing but peace. A great day to relax and chill at the beach as there were fewer people at that time.

So we had our breakfast at ‘Little Paradise cafe’, the most beautiful cafe among all. Do make sure to visit that cafe when in kudle beach.

And spent the day playing with the waves , relax, eat , repeat.

Day 3 was the most beautiful day as it was Monday and we were the only ones left at the beach. It was entirely empty.

We had breakfast and planned to go to the Om beach. So basically it’s a mini trek which we had to do to reach there via small hills. But the view of the beaches from top of the hills was killing. It is rightly said: Gokarna is the best place to find peace! You don’t even have to put many efforts either, just drag your ass all the way to the beach and that’s it!

By the time we reached, we were tired, exhausted, and some even resembled a corpse.

‘ Namaste cafe’ at Om beach is the most famous and beautiful cafe in all of Gokarna. So it was a must visit for me. It’s right at Om beach where you can sit, relax, hog fantastic food, drink a few beers, and of course, the sound of sea waves-- Nirvana!.
