Travelling is for soul and a girls trip is a Dream for many. So here it goes our very own Travel Blog of Pune- Murudeshwar -Gokarna-Goa with a Total Budget under 5000/-
Pune to Murudeshwar
1) We took a Non-Ac Sleeper bus to Murudeshwar from Pune at 4pm of Rs. 800 and reached Murudeshwar at 3.30am the other day.
2) We took an Auto Rs. 60 from the Town Bus Stand and went to the temple as we don’t a booking and didn’t expect to reach this early as the expected time was 5am.
3) At Temple we have took a Hotel for a few hours stay and to Freshen up Rs. 600.
4) Reached the temple at 6.30am and was amused by the beautiful Gopuram and the Lord Shiva Statue.
5) The early sunrise was a beautiful view as the rays were falling on the beautiful Arabian Sea with Coconut Trees on the coastline.
Murudeshwar to Gokarna
6) After the spending time by viewing breath taking temple architecture and the Murudeshwar beach we planned to pack our bags and head towards Gokarna. We went to Railway Station and took Mangalore Express to Gokarna Ticket fare 45/- if you take Madgaon Passenger Ticket Fare is 30/- It is a travel of 1hr with beautiful view of Konkan.
7) After reaching Gokarna we took an Auto to Reach our Beach Resort “ Gokarna Stops” Auto Fare: 300/- Resort: 2100/- for 3 people but if you get to book Zostel then that would a good decision.
8) After we freshen up, we took an Auto to Om Beach and did a trek for Half moon beach and returned back. The Auto round trip charged 400/-
9) Had a beautiful view of sunset at the Gokarna Main Beach outside our Resort there are many resorts on the coastline with a delightful ambience which can be opted for dinner.
10) Early morning we headed to Sri Mahabaleswara Swamy Temple which the only temple with Atma Linga (Google the Story for more info) where dress code should be followed and after that visited Ganapathi temple which also an old temple with a rule that states “ No entry for Foreigners” and we went to Gokarna Railway Station to catch Madgoan Express for Goa. Auto: 300 (From resort to temples and Railway Station) Train: 30/-
Gokarna to Goa
11) Finally, we reached Goa one can love the place the moment they hear the name itself. Goa is not just about booze it much more than that like the forts, Churches beaches and of course the colorful Night Life.
12) We took bus from Madgoan to Kadamba Bus Stand fare 10/-, Kadamba to Panjim fare 45/- and Panjim to Calangute fare 30/- as we take a cab they would charge 10 times of what we pay by bus then we took the scooty for rent for 300/- which the common fare.
13) We reserved “Hotel Baga Prime” price 550/- per head pretty decent hotel but its little far from the beach and the Calangute Centre. We went to Calangute beach and then went to Baga Beach for the famous and beautiful view of bright shacks and enjoy the beach. Suggestion: “Raddish, Baga” is a beautiful place for dinner.
14) In the morning we started to Aguada Fort as per google it opens at 8.30am but the timing is changed and it opens at 9am so we accidently visited some random churches on the way and the Lower Aguada fort with the view of Sinquerim beach and Hotel Taj. And visited the famous “Dil Chahta Hai” Fort Aguada Fort.
15) After Aguada Fort we went back to Panjim to see the churches we again the bus to Panjim and from Panjim to Old Goa bus fare: 30/- to visit the most famous Church “ Basilica of Bom Jesus”
16) We visited few other churches by walk
• Catholic Church St. Francis of Assisi
• St. Cathedral, Church
• Church of St. Cajetan which has a Arch of Adal Shah Palace.
17) Viceroys Arch, Goa it’s just an Arch but when u stand in the center and speak it echoes and the ferry ride for the Divar Island is from this point.
That’s how we have finished our trip of 3 girls with a budget less than 5000 to be precise.
Rs. 4425 per head for the complete trip including Transportation, Food and Accommodation.
