Embarking on a swift escape to Mysore from Bangalore via the Shatabdi train, our journey was a breeze, offering comfort and ease. With just a day to explore, we opted for an auto ride, immersing ourselves in the charm of Mysore before bidding adieu at the railway station come evening.

With time ticking, our first stop in Mysore was the sacred Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills, a mere 13 kilometers from the city's majestic palace. The temple emanated a serene aura, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Mysore below. As we ascended, two queues awaited us—one regular and the other VIP, the latter requiring a nominal fee. Amidst the spiritual ambiance, playful monkeys added a touch of liveliness. Despite our brief visit, the temple left an indelible mark, a testament to its awe-inspiring beauty and tranquil atmosphere.
