As I write this blog, I'm tucked up in a cosy bed sipping my favourite cocoa, while cuddling with Bon Jovi, who is by far the cutest dog I've ever met. To make matters even better, there's two kittens and their nonchalant mum in the drawing-room. I lie here in this beautiful Airbnb overlooking the lush landscape of Canggu, feeling immensely sad over the fact that I had only 2 nights in this beautiful place. But I also promise myself determinedly that I have to come back here and stay for at least a month. At least.
This is the last stop in our Bali Trip and with this tropical paradise, our 3 weeks long trip would come to an end. No, I'm not crying while writing this. But I'll tell you in the course of this blog post how Canggu was legitimately the hardest goodbye I've ever said.
But first things first, Canggu is actually pronounced as 'Changu.'
From bustling cafes and trendy foodie scene to sweeping rice fields and bougie sunset lounges - Canggu has it all! While there were a lot of beautiful places I visited on my trip to Bali, this chic little beach town jotted down to being my favorite of them all!
The Cute AF Cafes and Delicious AF food When in Canggu, you've GOT to do cafe hopping! Eating is a real big deal in Canggu and you'll be spoiled by the number of cafes and choices at your disposal. The Instagram-worthy decor and mouthwatering dishes are enough for you to fall in love with this place. For reals, when in Canggu, make enough time to explore the cafes! We were here for just 2 days so we missed out on a lot, which was a little heartbreaking. Our absolute personal favorite cafe was Panama Kitchen and Pool and you cannot miss this one. It's the all-trendy and all-cool cafe with Santorini vibes and sumptuous food!
Canggu is also affectionately called as a 'hipster paradise', thanks to the yoga enthusiasts, digital nomads and surfers who have made it their home. The Vibe! The best part about this place is that while being stunningly beautiful, it has not (yet) become ruined by development or over-run by the tourists. It's proximity to other famous hubs like Seminyak and Kuta also makes this the perfect place to stay at. If you want to just generally zen out or have some surfing action or indulge in amazing food, this is the place to be in Bali. You can also explore the shopping streets, bump into some truly friendly strangers, or just watch the colourful sunsets. My first impressions of the place were so exceptionally good that I decided right then to come back here for a much looonger time. It was all about the vibe, trust me!
The Best Airbnb Experience ever The fact that our Bnb had the cutest dog, 2 cats and 2 kittens should be enough to make you fall in love. If not, the lush scenery from the window, the wall projector for a kickass movie night, and the beautiful decor will definitely convince you.
Now, coming to the important information...
How To Get Around In Canggu Canggu is reasonably spread out so the best way to get around is by renting a scooty. They can be rented for as low as INR 200 a day and some even come with surfboard racks. And for reals, getting around this place on a scooty is actually quite incredible. The pink sunsets, fresh air, and little delights on every corner - everything looks stunning.
