Day 1

Ahha! This place is really a must visit🔥Not unknown but I must say less explored.
MANDARAGIRI HILLS also known as basadi betta. (Peacock jain temple)
Its a beautiful round hillock situated near Tumkur district.
Now I wouldn't give you the complete directions as Its already available on various other platforms and you can google it out too, but what I want you to know is how else can you explore this place even more, thats where I play a part 😉
So here we go!!
Firstly you can visit the beautiful peacock temple at the base and then start off with your journey.
Trekking on this monolith is relatively easy as it has around 460 carved steps that will take you to the top of the hillock.(even if there are options of reaching the top via your vehicle, DONT opt for it )
Once you reach the top , I request you to explore each and every boulder of rock in and around, before you get excited to get towards the lake. THE VIEW OF THE TEMPLE FROM THE TOP is "spectacular" 😍
There are different spectacular views from each side of that hilltop.
After filling yourself up with that mesmerizing view from the top now let's head down towards the lake.
Find your path towards the lake , unlike the odds and that's what I did.
There is a preety clear trail to follow.

Have some relaxing time enjoying the water and then you can explore a little further by going towards a way which leads to a temple like building.
That path continues, until you reach to a new place altogether. Since we had parked our car near the temple , we had to come back.
And now while going back you can opt to take back a different route for a much more peaceful walk towards your car. People hardly opt for this  route as an option, so now you can have an exclusive private walk back.
This route is towards the right corner of the lake which ends near an island like hillock. EXPLORE THE WAY OUT until you find a trail. You won't regret ,
Its just magical !!❤️
You might have to climb and surpass a few slippery rocks, but sure to reach.
BEST TIME TO VISIT IS WHEN ITS SLIGHTLY DRIZZLING .. This kinda weather will only add on to your experience. I am still yet to explore and seep in this place even more so EXPECT A PART -2 as I might visit again.🤫😜
