With lots of work stuck due to the ongoing pandemic situations, It was necessary to step out of the town as soon as possible. And finally I could plan one ESCAPE out of the city.
I Booked a bus to Gokarna on 16th of October on a rainy evening around 7.45 pm.
After a peaceful travel through I finally reached Gokarna on 17th October morning around 7:15 in the morning.
After a coffee, I took an auto for Kudle beach from the Gokarna Bus stop. It costs around 80 rs to kudle beach from the main bus stop.
Once I reached the destination, there is a steep path down to reach the beach by walk. I wish I had an option to post a video of the path to reach the beach!
There was no pre plan for this trip 😅As soon as I reached the beach, I started to check rooms as I was the only person to stay, I looked for budget friendly rooms. Finally I could find a cottage after a long walk through the beach. The cottage was clean and beautiful.
I freshened up and walked again to the top (entrance of the beach) to visit temple. I had taken the contact number of the Auto-driver who dropped me to Kudle. He dropped me to the temple. The temple was quiet Serene and divine too. I stayed there for a while and I had no mood to leave the temple as the place was very peaceful and heart Whelming.
I was very much hungry and left to have my breakfast. The food was quiet cheap and worthy. After my breakfast, I left to Kudle beach again as I was very tired travelling.
I had a drink and slept for a while till 2 O clock.
Woke up and walked around the beach in search of a good restaurant to have my lunch. I could get a decent lunch at last
After lunch, around 3.30 I left for OM beach, which is around 1.3 kms from Kudle beach. Its seems to be a wonderful trek. After an hour of walking, I heard the sounds of the waves from the OM beach.
Sat on the beach for a while and went to NAMASTHE Cafe to refresh a bit. Had a light drink and chilled there for while and left OM Beach around 5:45 PM.
The walk was very tiring and I reached my cottage at last. Rested for a while, then had a light dinner and slept.
Woke up the next day in thoughts of leaving to Kumta or Honnavara, I vacated my room and reach the entrance of the beach. I had no idea of leaving the place.
I reached the temple and decided to stay back the next day there itself. I booked a hotel room for 400 rs beside the temple and stayed back visiting all the beautiful temples around . There are lot of shops for shopping. From spices to clothes, you get everything. It's a wonderful city to roam around and explore
After having my lunch around 3 pm, I went around the main Gokarna Beach. The beach is vast enough and a splendid place to spend the evening.
Woke up the next morning and had my breakfast and left to Gokarna main bus stop to find the route to Mirjan fort, Kumta
I took a bus from the main bus stop and the ticket to Mirjan fort costs 20 rs. From the stop on the Highway, I walked to Mirjan Fort which is around 900 mts from the highway
The place was so amazing and there were no tourists at all when I reached there.
The place is filled with greenery all over and it's a treat to watch.
After being the fort for a while, I walked my way back to the highway find a bus to kumta. I reached Kumta around 3 O clock in the noon. It was a very tiring day as it was so sunny. Once I reached kumta I took an auto to locate a room to stay for the day. I made my way to Hotel moonshine, it's one of the oldest hotel around, familiar among the public. I couldn't resist and ate biryani and Tandoori there and my plans of visiting the temple there went in vain.
So without wasting time, I headed to Bada beach for the evening to have some delicious food again on the way to the beach. Came back to my room after exploring the village around 7Pm. Bought some things for my home as well.
Woke up around 6 Am, and visited the temples in Kumta. The temples are Shree Shantheri kamakshi Ramanatha lakshmi narayana temple, Shree Mahalasa Narayani Temple, Shree Rayeshwara Kavur Kamakshi Kala Bhairava Deva.
After visiting all the temples around, I made my way to Honnavara from Kumta Main bus stop. It costs around 25 rs. The journey was quiet pleasant.
After Reaching Honnavara, I decided to reach the ECO beach. It's one of the cleanest beach ever. The water is blueish and the beach is very clean enough and well maintained.
Around 11 am, I left for the Sharavathi mangrove forest. The place was dense and adventurous.
After being here for a while, I made my way to Apsarakonda village. The Village is small enough and is famous for its beautiful waterfalls and garden at the hill top.
I reached the Falls by walking down through some steps and the water was blueish in the middle. The falls was quiet small but a delight to watch.
After coming up, there is a small garden with a beautiful view point to the beach.
The Garden name is Apsarakonda Garden, Honnavara.
It was a very sunny day, I came back to Honnavara around 1 Pm and waited for a bus to Idagunji Ganapathi temple.
After having lunch in the temple, took a bus to the highway to find the route to Murdeshwara. After a long wait I reached Murdeshwara. Visited the main temple and rested on the beach for a while.
Finally the trip came to an end with lots of experiences and memories. I booked my bus ticket back to Bangalore at 10 pm and reached Bangalore the next day 8 Am.
