DAY 1:
As I boarded the Udyan Express train from Mumbai to Bangalore, I was excited to embark on a new adventure. I had packed some homemade aloo parathas and pickles for the journey and was looking forward to a scenic ride.
As the train passed through Lonavala station, I couldn't resist buying some Lonavala chikki to munch on. With the beautiful views of the Western Ghats in the background, the sweet and crunchy snack was the perfect accompaniment to my parathas.
After a quick nap, I woke up to find that we had passed Pune. Feeling a bit peckish, I decided to try the roti and bhaji at the Kurduvadi station. The food was delicious and filling, and I was glad to have had a hearty lunch.
As I continued my journey, I struck up conversations with some of my co-passengers, learning about their lives and experiences. The train passed through DUDHANI station, and soon we were in Karnataka. I could feel the change in language and culture and was excited to explore the state.
After a dinner of egg rice, I settled down for the night. When I woke up, I realized that the train was delayed and we were at the DHARMAVARAM JN station. I stepped out to stretch my legs and explore the station, feeling the chill of the early morning air.
As the train began to move, I returned to my seat and gazed out of the window, taking in the sights of Karnataka. The train finally arrived at Bengaluru Cant station at 6 AM, and I stepped out into the chilly Bangalore weather. I hailed an auto to take me to my friend’s room, excited to begin exploring the city.

The fourth day of our trip was the last day we spent in Bangalore. It was bittersweet because we had an amazing time exploring the city, but we were also excited to see what adventures awaited us in Gokarna. We woke up early in the morning and headed to IDC Kitchen Cafe to have a delicious South Indian breakfast. The food was so good that we were tempted to stay there all day, but we had to make the most of our time in Bangalore.

DAY 5:
The fifth day of the trip was truly a day to remember as we arrived at our destination, Gokarna, and explored its beauty. The train journey was a surreal experience with the picturesque view of the sunrise and Gokarna's beauty from the window. The station was exceptionally clean and surrounded by lush green trees that made it a nature's paradise.
After reaching Gokarna, we took a cab to our hotel, but unfortunately, we gave the wrong location to the driver, and he dropped us 30 minutes away from our actual hotel location. But, the walk to our hotel was worth it as we witnessed the true beauty of the village and its natural air that felt so calming.
After checking in and taking some rest, we headed towards the beach to take a dip in the sea, which was a rejuvenating experience. We then had some delicious breakfast, Masala Maggi, and Coconut water, and enjoyed the beach vibe.
The day was full of excitement as we explored Gokarna Beach and its nearby market and relished Chicken Tali for lunch. After breakfast, we embarked on a trekking adventure to explore Kudle Beach and Om Beach in Gokarna. The trek started from Gokarna Beach to Kudle Beach, and along the way, we discovered a secret trek that led us through the beautiful Gokarna village. We also made sure to fill up our water bottles for the journey ahead.
Upon reaching Kudle Beach, we were in awe of its stunning beauty. We then started our trek to Om Beach, but unfortunately, we took a longer route that took us 30 minutes longer than the shortcut we took on our way back.
Once we reached Om Beach, we stopped at a cafe for lunch. We ordered delicious chicken and egg thalis and enjoyed our meal with a breathtaking view of the beach. We were allowed to sit in the cafe for a few hours to soak in the beach vibes.

DAY 7:
The seventh day of the trip marked the end of our time in Gokarna. We woke up late in the morning because we were extremely tired from the previous day's trekking. After getting ready, we decided to have brunch as it was already 1:00 PM. While we were out, we also bought a lungi, which is a traditional South Indian dress that is worn by men.
In the evening, we decided to explore the Gokarna temples and market. We spent some time walking around the market and bought some essential items like bread packets, onions, tomatoes, and chat masala to make sandwiches for our breakfast. We also bought some sweets from Gokarna to carry with us to Mumbai.

The view of the starry sky and the sound of the sea waves gave us a peaceful feeling that helped us forget all the worries and stresses of daily life.
Late at night, we returned to our room and started packing our bags as we had to check out the next day. We felt a tinge of sadness as we knew that our time in Gokarna had come to an end. Nevertheless, we were grateful for the amazing experience and memories that we had made over the past few days.
Overall, the trip to Gokarna was an incredible experience. From the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets to the stunning beaches and treks, it was a journey that we will always remember. DAY 8:
South India is a land of vibrant culture, scenic beauty, and delicious food. Our trip to Bangalore and Gokarna was a week-long journey filled with new experiences and unforgettable memories. As we embarked on the last day of our trip, we couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia.
We started our day by heading to the beach to catch a glimpse of the stunning blue sky in the morning. The cool breeze and the sound of waves crashing against the shore were the perfect way to kickstart our day. After taking a few pictures, we headed back to our room to make some sandwiches for breakfast. We were amazed at how delicious they tasted, considering they were made with just a few simple ingredients.
After packing up our bags, we left Gokarna Beach and decided to explore the village. We had some time to kill before our train, so we decided to have breakfast at a local cafe. We ordered fried eggs with roti, and it was a perfect combination. We struck up a conversation with the owner of the cafe, who was incredibly kind and told us about the history and culture of Gokarna. We learned a lot about his life and culture, which was a heartwarming experience.
After spending more than three hours at the cafe, we headed to Gokarna Railway Station to catch our train. The station was situated in the middle of the jungle, which was a bit scary at first, but the station workers were kind and made us feel safe. We packed some egg rice for dinner and waited for our train to arrive.
As we sat at the station waiting for our train, we reflected on the experiences we had during the trip. From exploring the vibrant city of Bangalore to trekking through the beautiful beaches of Gokarna, we had experienced a lot in just a week. We had learned so much about the culture and traditions of South India and had tasted some of the most delicious food we had ever eaten.
As the station master announced the arrival of our train, we gathered our bags and made our way to the platform. Our train arrived, and we said goodbye to Gokarna, feeling a mix of emotions - happy to be returning home, but sad to leave behind the beauty and warmth of South India.
In conclusion, our South Indian trip was an unforgettable experience that gave us a deeper understanding of the culture, food, and people of this region. We feel grateful for the opportunity to have explored this part of India and will cherish the memories of this trip forever.
